Hello everybody. I want to call everybody here with a post known to them which they favored as their "favorite" post/posts. Also really meaningful posts. I will certainly post my favorite ones and links to them concerning death and the meaning of life, and general nihilism.
Also suicide notes. Please post the best ones you have read. Some posts give you "goosebumps" that is how well they are written.
I also saw talent in the writings of Misanthrope. I hope he sees this message but please make him aware of it as hitherto I haven't seen his name coming up. Recently saw a great post he made about unemployment. I want to get him in a discussion as he( I suppose the creator is a "he" by general ambience of the demographics of this site) is an intelligent writer. I want thoughts about several topics: suicide prevention, religion, for instance. I want his thoughts on life, death, meaning, etc.

Yes, @Misanthrope is an insightful and intelligent member, as is @Chinaski I can't think of the others at the moment.

If you put the @ before their name it alerts them that they have been mentioned in a post @tiredofchronicpain

Why not just ask him?

@tiredofchronicpain Hi there. I would not put me on any sort of pedestal. I am just a flawed and ridiculous human being living in an absurd society headed towards ruin. Maybe knowledgeable in some things, painfully uninformed in others. Just like every other human being on the planet. If you want to start up a conversation with me you are welcome to do so.

You are such a kind person, and thank you. I think you're pretty special and thanks for making me smile during a time I really needed it. I hope you're ok today.

Can I call out everyone on here because people who say things that I'd never considered make me re-evaluate my view point and I like that, it stops me sticking in a rut. Also the support here is incredible. Everyone has something to bring to the table and that's what makes it so good.

Hi, Misanthrope. Thank you very much for replying. Let us get to the basics. What brought you here? And how old are you mas-o-menos?
I am 29 as of middle March. Currently unemployed, living with chronic pain, anxiety, had the displeasure of getting a root canal last year that completely destroyed my life. I am here to get like minded people going through a troubling time. What about you? I guess from your posts you are probably into the sciences too.

I also seem to see a philosophy interest. Are you a fan of the stoic and cynic sages?

I agree. I just wanted to have a clique of posts which you guys found helpful and resonate with. I think about furthering a pdf later to collect "great" posts from anywhere under the topic of nihilism/antinatalism etc.
Not for discrimanatory purposes but just for personal predisposition

I agree :-) I think it's a really nice idea and would be nice if it could stay at the toppish for reference? How can we do that

@gingerplum combines erudite topical counsel delivered with clarity and a delightful bedside (as it were) manner. She's also witty, wise, and compassionate. Unfortunately (for us) she may be distancing herself from the forum for her own good, as is her right.

You miss way out and Chinaski roasting him over a spit with an apple in his mouth.

The footage may look grim, but l assure you he definitely enjoyed the apple.

I've met a lot of kind people here but @WayOut and @Chinaski immediately come to mind. I've seen them destroy certain (potential) scammers. I really enjoyed that. The scum that prey on the desperate deserve no less than WayOut's wrath and Chinaski's elegant wit :)

Also a shout out to the young people on this board. I'm an old guy, I don't spend much time on the off-topic forum. I mostly come here for practical information. But when I do and I browse through some of the threads that are clearly made by young people, I'm always pleasantly surprised by how they support, respect and communicate with each other. I rarely see that on other boards I visit (music, movies, etc.). On those forums I'm sorry to say, the younglings are usually the trolls.

it makes me sad too. Those trolls will probably go on to become successful while many of the young people here remain stuck in misery. Or they'll ctb of course.

I'm 100% pro-choice and I know it's not up to me to judge their pain but sometimes I really have to bite my tongue when I read certain posts.

I want to tell them to give it some more time. That girl/guy that really sees your worth will come along. Or, you can leave that abusive mother/father behind you. In a few years, you'll have much more control over your own life. Don't make irrevocable decisions yet. Give yourself a real chance.

Instead I return to the main forum to read the latest on how to sweeten the taste of N.
It sucks.

Thank you all for these kind words, it's very rare that l get such positive feedback - I'm probably the only poster who EvilAngelGoddess studiously avoids giving 'likes' to. Tbh if someone doesn't interject with "chinaski u r asshole" soon l may have to delete my account in shame.

In that case, I've been injecting Toilet Duck into the eyeballs of cattle for the past few days and have noticed they pass without so much as a whimper. It's even better if you smoke a spliff beforehand.

(That'll be 2.5% of all profit in the next PPH update Phil, if you're reading, cheers m8) ~Chinaski
