Venting A bully magnet

I envy the people on here who were only bullied in childhood (and obviously those who were never bullied at all). Because unfortunately for some of us, mistreatment does not end on your 18th birthday. For some of us, bullying continues into adulthood and until you die. That's why I have to ctb. Because apparently that's the only way I can permanently end the bullying. A permanent solution to a temporary problem?? No, this is a permanent solution to what would've been a permanent problem. Things did not get better and they would not.

And full on bullying is one thing. But in my case even though, it's not always bullying per se, but people are often disrespectful, combative, argumentative, insist on teasing/making fun of me, laughing at me, gossiping about me behind my back, bossy, ganging up on me with their friends, giving me harsh and nasty looks. People are mean to me often and consistently. And they often get away with it. There's absolutely no justice or accountability for bullies. If anything they're rewarded for their bad behavior.

Growing up, I was bullied in school, by my parents, and when I started working in high school. As an adult, I was bullied mostly at work, but also by roommates, in the military, in college, and at meetups.

I didn't choose to live and I didn't choose to be a bully magnet for life while everyone else around me gets to live in dignity and be respected, liked and supported by others.

I'm sorry you're surrounded by assholes. Some people just don't get it. While you may not get to ever witness it, they will get their just desserts in this life, or the next. I don't want to say karma is real, because good things don't always happen to good people...but I belive bad people will have to answer for their choices eventually.

I've been bullied pretty much most, if not all my life, especially during middle and high school. While my adult life doesn't consist of overt bullying or the really nasty kind, I've been treated unfairly and more often than not, ignored or dismissed. For the people that do give any attention to me, it's just what they can get from me (favors, help, using me for their own gains) and also about flaunting their moral superiority and ego (showing off how much they care to others). They downplay my concerns and never really take me seriously when I want them to. It rarely ever is about me or in my (personal and best) interests.

I agree with you, life isn't fair and for some us (me and you included), we are just doomed from the start and have become an metaphoric punching bag. Also, I've tried to improve my situation, but real respect is all but guaranteed for us. No amount of work or change will ever be work, and even in the minor victories that we may achieve, it would be a pyrrhic (costly and shallow) victory at best. People who don't really see the situation for what it is are believe that there is always hope are delusional.

So in short, I suppose me and you are in a similar boat. This will definitely be one of my other major reasons for me wanting to ctb, so thanks for reminding me to add this reason to my note.

I was bullied in HS and in childhood, until I beat the shit out of my bully. Ain't no one bullying my ass anymore. If someone is an asshole to me in the real world, I can equally be as much of an asshole back.

This is usually what I do too. But for me it just makes things worse. I was in loads of fights growing up, but regardless of whether I "won" or "lost" the fight, the bullying didn't stop. Even though it was obvious they started it with me, their friends would usually take their side, and either I had no friends or I had bad friends that actually didn't care about me and wouldn't have my back against others.

I certainly believe in standing up for oneself, giving it back to the bully, and defending yourself, and that's exactly what I do. But because the bullies usually have more friends/support, are more powerful, or more clever, it usually doesn't work out. They usually just keep being mean, and when I give it back to them, I get in trouble/they don't, people make it sound like I'm overreacting while they were just messing around or being themselves, something along those lines.

Me too treat like garbage my whole life. I don't get a fair chance in life anyway. I'm "not allowed" anything in life, nothing at all. I'm too weak to live and to weak to end it.

I was bullied and even have been the bully. Atleast in the end i chose to not bully people anymore and even stood up for some people who were bullied.

Best way to stop a bully is to retaliate. But society wants you to turn the other cheek like a bitch.
