I want to ctb…alone Xmas eve for the first time ever but I'm scared. I'm scared it won't work. 9mm hollow point 124 grain, s&w
Would have to be above the ear as it's to big to fit right in the mouth, would have to be side ways and don't think it would line up right.
Hopefully the neighbors don't hear or if they do they don't think anything, I would like to go in my own bed.
The noise will probably scare the s*** out of my dogs.

Lost, you need to be absolutely sure you want to go through with it. Using that method.

Why not get through the holidays, which can be emotional and then make a decision in January?

I agree with the previous posters - never do anything with a shaky trigger finger. Find a more simple method, or wait until you are really sure what you want to do.

I'm sure I want to do it. I've been wanting it and reading about it since August 1st, one failed attempt (partial). I ordered SN but the success rate seems to be so much higher with G. But the consequences of it not working is horrible.
Just so much mixed info online as far as placement goes. I'm sure I'll have a shaky finger no matter what.
This is definitely the worse year of my life, living a nightmare that isn't going to end.
My fireworks on new year eve will mask the sound. Just thinking out loud.

I'd be scared of having a "miraculous" recovery in the hospital 6 months later after being in a coma, and then being put through a rehab program against my will to relearn how to walk and communicate at the cognitive level of a 2-year-old.

That's why I wish there was some way we could ask someone to put the bullet in our head for us and finish the job if we were still alive after the first shot (check the pulse, listen for breathing, etc.)

And if there was some way to absolve that person from murder by making our intention to be killed by them very clear, and emphasizing that their role was just as an assistant.

Absolutely!!! That what I'm scared of, it not working or hitting what it needs to. I've read 90% are fatal, I should be good but damn.
Wish I knew a hitman

Why not combine the two? Take the SN, then shoot. If one fails, the other ought to do it. Just thinking aloud here - wouldn't trust either method singly either.

I've thought about that or shoot while I have to noose around my neck. But then I read somewhere on here to keep it simple don't combine methods. A lot of different information and opinions. I like to be able to follow steps 1-10 and then be done lol I hate doubt of not knowing. I'm guessing the G will do, I do have 12ga but it's so long I would have to use my toes.

Why not combine methods? I prefer it for death insurance, haha. As long as you don't halfarse each one and then fail overall - that was my mistake the first time - it should be fine.

Using toes sounds like a bad idea. Too much potential for the aim to shift.

haha…I got impatient the first time, I kept reading then practicing. But I did get the passing out thing down, have to use a O/D ring instead of knot and had to be in the front so I could breathe but I got that thing to work and fast

Hi there,
A few thoughts...
Please don't do it unless you are completely sure. That is for any method.
A gun wouldn't be my first choice. I did consider it before I found other options.
I wouldn't do two methods at once. Especially hanging & a gun.
Also the neighbor thing with a gun, you can't be certain they won't hear it. Also the dog's may make a lot of noise when it goes off.

More to come after I read more post's.

Also as was mentioned, don't do it if you are shaking.
No method is 100% guarantee.
I can't tell you what method you should use.
Is the 12 gauge the only gun you have? Or do you have something smaller?
Just saw the part about fireworks. Still think there are better options.
If SN is on the way, you could wait until it comes.
I saw the resources section is gone. I hope you have enough information on how to do it.

You could saw the barrel with a hacksaw to make it short enough to reach the trigger with your hand. Sawed off shotguns are illegal, but after you're gone, it's a moot point.

That's a very good suggestion GreatEscape. For those of us with relatives wa care about, it would sure take the "Merry" of of their season to learn one of their loved ones offed theirself.

I doubt that would make it in court Anxious. But I've often thought about soldiers getting killed with a headshot from a sniper. That has to be one of the best ways to leave the planet. Almost instant death, and you never knew it was coming.

@LostMyWorld sorry it's come to this for you and hopefully you will come to change your mind. In the event that you go through with it, is there a way you can find homes for your dogs first and not leave them behind like that. Do you live with anyone that will be taking care of them after?

Yeah the dogs will be okay, I hate to leave the one bc I've had her since she was 5weeks and she just turned 14…

I'm sure I have a couple saws around here somewhere, that's a good idea. But I've been looking at pics of people that used shotguns and wow, I know some of them did it under the chin but others look like they put it in there month & survived, not sure how that's even possible. And looking at shots to the temple of corpses to see placements. SI is hard to get over, been desensitizing myself with holding it tight against my head and pulling trigger.
A lot of famous people used hanging lately so that's my second option.

Yeah I'm still here. Haven't decided on a method, it's hard. One day I'm reading about G then next it's SN or partial. SN hasn't arrived yet.

Glad to see you! Was worried you caught the bus already. I flip flop between methods too. Partial, CO or bullet. It will be bullet if I ever purchase a firearm but I like the peace of CO and the ease of partial.

I've read about failures with bullets too but I honestly think most of them are BS or people quoting the same failure. Budd Dwyer did it in front of an audience and he was "fine". I think if I do ever get one I'll go out to a remote area so if on the off chance I fail to die instantly, I just bleed to death (hopefully unconscious)

I agree with going out on New Year's Eve to mask the sound.
Some years ago, there was some trouble in my neighborhood. Gunshots werent heard and everyone was looking at the fireworks in the sky anyway.

If you do partial make sure it won't break. I mean put your foot into it and stand, bounce up and down. I bought 2 belts (The same) I used one and it snapped after I passed out. I couldn't believe it, so I took the 2nd one and had & stood in it, I had to try hard to get it to snap but it did. I guess the body fights. After it broke (the first time) I was thrashing, couldn't talk right for hours, I could think but the words came out as babbel. Had a black eye, swollen tongue.
@LostMyWorld yes, Nitrogen
Nitrogen would be good, I just don't know how the tanks work or how heavy they are to transport or the pressure values you have to put on them. But I could probably get one from gas/welding place.
