I found some old anti-nausea pills called Metonia (seems to be metoclopramide ?) that I was prescribed but never finished back years ago.
However, the bottle says to discard by 2015. I'm not familiar with expiration dates when it comes to pharmaceuticals. Would these still be effective today?

Thanks, but I can't find anything specific about metoclopramide. Seems like in general the range that pills can still be effective goes from a year to a decade, which doesn't tell me much.

I can't find the shelf life of metonia specifically, but I looked up quite a few brands of metoclopramide and can't find one past 3 years from manufacturing date, that was put in an amber bottle so it's unlikely it's as effective. You're betting the Pharmacist gave you the newer pills and that they haven't degraded more since you've had them. No chance of getting meto again?
