I've been honest with a lot of people. If Trump wins, I'm out of here. I'm not going through that again. The first time around I fell into a fent habit so bad that it legitimately ruined everything in my life, my life itself, my ability to help people (if you know, you know), it took my entire self away and left me with nothing. The supply in the US is so fucked right now due to the Tranq epidemic, it's essentially the fourth wave of the 'opioid crisis' and it's effectively ruining the entire supply, with a FEW exceptions. It wouldn't be worth picking up again, no matter how bad I feel. It's funny because mid-ish November will mark my one year clean. But I dont want it. I want a fuckton of Oxy and fent, I wanna nod out and not think about this shit, and hope that this time, THIS TIME, after so many failures, I'll finally die.

But none of that is my point, my point is that felons can't even VOTE yet look at the what the fuck is happening. I'm scared as fuck, and there's nothing I as a single person can do about it, except watch the days tick down and feel the PTSD set in.

I'm not sure what the rules are on SaSu re: political discourse. I personally don't even like talking about it that much. Mods please delete this post if I'm breaking any rules as that's not my intention.

In short, Harris/Walz has my vote this cycle. On a macro level, Mr. Trump gives off authoritarian vibes and he's on record as claiming to admire Hitler and wanting generals to do his bidding like Hitler's generals. He has no respect for our military men and women. He wants to use the military to go after citizens and Democrats who oppose him. He lost the 2020 election, lied about it, and tried to overturn the will of the People without evidence. He's a chaos agent who, in my estimation, is a cancer to an otherwise healthy democracy.

On a micro level, the Democratic ticket aligns more with my personal values. I am pro-choice when it comes to women's reproductive freedoms, I am in favor of legalizing marijuana, I believe climate change is real and must be addressed, and I'm nearing completion of Public Service Loan Forgiveness, to which Repulicans oppose. I also believe in LGBTQ+ rights and don't like the culture wars surrounding approved medical care for gender dysphoria. Moreover, I believe in complete separation of church and state, a line which Republicans seek to blur.
