This one is stunning!! I worked in about 7 countries. It gave me a chance to live as a resident rather than just a tourist. Leaving that life behind is turning into a big regret. I can't imagine standing in those gardens! I bet is quite moving.

This one is stunning!! I worked in about 7 countries. It gave me a chance to live as a resident rather than just a tourist. Leaving that life behind is turning into a big regret. I can't imagine standing in those gardens! I bet is quite moving.

I'm truly jealous. Living in the US my entire life, the furthest I've traveled is Hawaii. lol

I've always wondered what kind of energy you feel standing at ancient sites like Chichen Itza, Machu Picchu, Abu Simbel, Lalibela, Valley of the Kings... it makes my heart ache knowing I will never see them in person.

That would be amazing! I lived there for three years. I wish I'd never left it's such a special country. Did you get to Aqaba?

I used to have only one thing on my Bucket List (not sure why) and it was to see the Sphynx in Cairo. I went on a Friday (their Holy Day) and the city was empty; it was wonderful! When I got to the Pyramids I was so excited. When I got to the Sphynx, I actually cried.

Get a passport and go somewhere. Get a job in another country. Most Americans never leave the U.S. - it's a shame.We Canadians are a little better. Everyone needs to leave their own country/culture and see that life is more than our own little bubbles.

I did - beautiful. I was in Jordan for about 5 weeks before crossing into Israel. The security guard in Pella let us stay on the roof of his house for a night. The ruins in the moonlight were breathtaking

I can picture that. God, I miss being there. The people, the rooftop nights, seeing the Place the Shall Not Be Named. I crossed over into Palestine too - another amazing place. I had an offer to live there - part of my dream that's died. But, oh, my soul is there. Truly.
