I'm in an unhappy relationship brought about by convenience and a fear of being alone. Too scared to leave, too anxious/depressed to try to make things work.

My job pays shit. Feel like an absolute idiot for leaving a well paying job to hopefully find happiness by moving away from my hometown, being led astray by ideas of being able to find happiness far away from the place I was raised.

Owning a home has proven to be the most stressful, anxiety producing bullshit I've ever gone through. Currently facing foreclosure.

Parents aren't the best but far from the worst. Only help they offer is the "pull yourself up by the bootstraps" bullshit or here's $100, pay me back by the end of the month.

My overall physical health isn't terrible but could be much better. I have a really bad habit of chain smoking and drinking way too much but I'm not in terrible pain day to day.

Honestly, I don't really care about having everything I want. Like sure I'd like to have a fun car but like... why??? It wouldn't help me and would mostly just be a virtue-signaling (I'd want an EV), status symbol. I don't think asking to have the first two tiers of Maslow's hierarchy of needs met is asking for all that much. I'd just like to live a life worth living tbh. Wish people would just view people's basic needs as just that instead of framing it as having your cake and eating it too.
