Now I can't understand much of what people are saying unless I really focus on the conversation. Thanks life, you never fail to deliver just what I need./s
As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Oh that's awful, I'm so so sorry. Is it permanent do you know or the result or a virus?
Albeit expensive the option is there. But I'll probably CTB so I won't need them.Have you looked into hearing aid? You don't deserve this!
I have T too but not super loud. Surprisingly T never bothered me much. I've just accepted it as part of me instead of trying to fight it off. That worked for me.Sorry to hear that Strumgewehr
I have tinnitus in both ears. It sucks !
Most of the time I don't notice it at all. Only when it's very quiet like when I'm lying down on my bed. But even then all I have to do is turn the fan or heater on and I won't notice it.I have T too but not super loud. Surprisingly T never bothered me much. Fuck Me Strumgewehr. That's terrible so sorry to hear that. Now I can't understand much of what people are saying unless I really focus on the conversation. Thanks life, you never fail to deliver just what I need./s
It's partly genetic and partly due to noise exposure. Hearing loss of this type is permanent but hearing aids can help significantly. Though hearing aids are virtually invisible these days they are still expensive. We are talking $3000-$5000. I'm not very enthusiastic about the idea of fixing my train-wreak of a life with money I don't have but let's see how it goes. It was about time to CTB already anyway.

Unfortunately, this is true.reminder: there is no rock bottom

That would be a fair trade lol! BTW have you tried earplugs? They can help with sensative ears. I always have a pair in my pocket, right after I exit my door I put them on. Saves my hearing from traffic noise, music in the mall etc.I'm sorry something else has happened that's painful for you. Really. I hope it's not insensitive to comment that I've yearned for hearing loss for years and even contemplated causing myself hearing damage purposely so I could escape the incessant noise everywhere: loud, constantly barking dogs; violent motorcycles; souped-up trucks and cars; ear-splitting sirens... It's for sure different when you want your hearing. I wish I could gift you mine.
Man I'm so sorry. Life can truly be an ass.Now I can't understand much of what people are saying unless I really focus on the conversation. Thanks life, you never fail to deliver just what I need./s

I'm sorry you're going through this.
I don't know your specific health issues, but I was convinced I had hearing loss (still am actually) and had a proper hearing exam to see if it was real or just my mind playing tricks on me. The results were extremely minimal hearing loss in one ear. Not enough to justify my claims.
Yet, I still have trouble making out what people say most of the time and always find myself turning my head to hear better. I also have trouble making out what people say unless I'm completely focused on what they're saying.
Brain fog, constant running thoughts, high stress and anxiety seem to exacerbate this even further. Might have something to do with it.
Wish you the best.
I just got my PTA test result today and turns out my hearing is even slightly better then the last time I had it tested.
I had trouble understanding people but it seems to be getting better.
I, myself, usually say, "Oh GOODIE"! Thanks for my newest malady! Eyesight! Totally overrated! Saw and Can relate. Sorry. Now I can't understand much of what people are saying unless I really focus on the conversation. Thanks life, you never fail to deliver just what I need./s
