So just came across that wpd website the other day. Saw a live beheading by a cartel member and someone blowing their brains out with a shotgun. Skull exploded!

What's people's views on this? Too gore or interesting? I'm on the fence but thought it might of been illegal but I guess not.

I used to watch suicide videos on there until I realized how fucked up it is. Death is a really private thing, and most of deaths there were not recorded by the person who died. It wasn't their choice for people to see it. So it's just a lack of respect for them. And especially for the family and friends of the dead. I bet it's not the most pleasant feeling for them, knowing that a person they love is being watched dying by dozens of strangers for no apparent reason or even laughed at, body shamed or sexually assaulted. Comments on wpd tend to be really awful.
So even though I get the point of someone being really curious of the subject and wanting to watch it, but it's really not okay.

A bit of both. I don't mind some gore, I'm used to it but that's just watching someone being murdered. Not my bag.

It's up 2 you whether u want to watch it or not. Today it's called gore, in ancient times and even in the middle ages executions were watched by many people in public. Nobody called it gore.

This made me laugh. What was up with that btw? There would be so many of them with the ones at the back pushing for a better view 😃

I have a acc on wpd. Been watching gore for a long time, my abusive surgeon father forced me to watch medical gore with him when I was little. I thought that was normal and acceptable behavior. Now the only gore I consume is mainly medical and suicide gore, sometimes revenge gore. I don't like accident gore because it feels wrong since they didn't consent to being uploaded.

I don't like watching it, you usually remember it too distinctly, watch a lot more before. I still remember Ronnie Mcnutt. Sad shit.

I occasionally watch gore, my favourite site being theync. I don't know why, I think being confronted with real-life death snaps me back to reality (woah, there goes gravity) and lets me feel somewhat alive, maybe because I see what the real life looks like without rose coloured glasses, unicorns and sunshine? Partially it's also the curiosity of how your very last moments can look like. Obviously that interests me as I am considering cbt, especially when the videos show suicides. Are people calm or anxious? Do they hesitate much before doing it? Do they still move after impact or is the death sudden? How much did it hurt? But I also watch murders or accidents (no torture or animal cruelty). I find it educative and soothing in one.

I don't know what that website is but I think that it's pretty sickening if you enjoy watching that stuff. Seems nothing short of psychopathic to me and I personally believe that stuff should be banned. I get it. People are suicidal and want the freedom to do so in the most painless way possible. But where do we draw the line?! It is ridiculous for anyone to want to watch this stuff.

I generally agree, I've browsed the suicide section of wpd looking for clarity/assurances but didn't really get that.

I felt wrong, often the videos are horrific, and the community even worse.

I feel very bad for the families of those on these sites.

It's okay, it just shows how life is. Brutal and raw. It can be damaging though to your mental health, you can get desensitized to all the violence and gore if you watch it enough. I read from some people that they watch gore to calm their thoughts. I don't think it should be illegal though, but there should be more security over sites like those to protect kids since they can come across stuff like that mindlessly on the internet. I'm mostly just on the self harm section of the site, occasionally the accident ones if it piques my interest

I don't understand... I thought gore is like a platform with violent videos but now I realize its a word for these violent videos?
But what is it with these medical gore videos?
I stop google now... Iam disturbed and i just got to a medicalgore page... It somehow triggered my medical trauma...
