I pick 30. Many people say the latter. My own family wants quantity over quality. What is wrong with these idiots?

It depends on each person's definition of mediocre.
If I were to live without insomnia it would be fine for me, I would choose 70

Not even Jesus lived past 33. He had the right idea. Crucifixion is better than old age.

I'll take 30, even though, I know I will regret it at the end of it.
But had I chosen the latter, I would regret my decision all throughout that 70 years.

30 fantastic years. This one took me no time to think. I genuinely cannot comprehend why people would pick the 70 year option instead

I guess that's what happens when they're so conditioned to think that any type of life is good even if they're doing nothing but suffering constantly through it. I've seriously seen these types of people say that living a life full of suffering is better than never having lived a life at all!

When your time comes, you would make any deal with the the devil to have just a little more time with your loved ones.

That's explicitly why I didn't say family and said loved ones 😊
Dostoevsky: "what is hell? Hell is the inability to love." I have trouble saying I love anyone.

Why anyone choose more time with a diminished quality of life?

Drives to survive really do fuck with people.

Why would you pick quantity over quality? Seems stupid.

"Mediocre years" in the sense of "ordinary" - w/o hard hits and a lot of euphoria - would be alright.
