Discussion Would you ever share earphones with someone?

I was surprised that my friends wouldn't share my earphones saying they have bacteria. I would accept earphones from any of my other friends (especially a hot girl). Is it really that much of a bacteria risk?

I've happily shared earphones with people. I'm not the most fastidious soul around, but unless someone's got an ear infection or there's a pandemic going on, your friends sound overcautious to me.

As long as I trust the person and don't see earwax, I don't mind. But if I know the person isn't very hygenic or I see earwax, I get nauseous at the thought of sharing earphones.

I don't particularly care about how the person looks, so it wouldn't make a difference to me. :p

I travelled a lot with my closest friend and shared almost everything with her, including earphones. So, I don't have a problem sharing earphones with someone I know and like.

I am very wary of putting any thing in my ears as i had bad very bad ear infections in the parst . Worst was one i left it to long and i managed to rupture my ear drum . So putting any thing in my ears is a bot of a nono . :)

I never even use earphones since they get ear wax on them and then the bacteria keep multiplying in my pocket. Gross. I prefer headphones.

I will if they are willing to share it with me. Will clean it for them with alcohol wipes.

Yes. But I always clean them after, just because.

Not a major issue but personally no. Working in healthcare, I know that a lot of people don't keep their ears as clean as they should.

I hate earphones, they hurt and they fall out but if this wasn't the case I wouldn't have a problem so long as they're wax free. Headphones all the way for me

Yeah, I really don't care anymore at this point. If their ears are dirty, whatever. It's just earwax. If I get some sort of disease for it, maybe I'll finally drop dead.

As long as there is no ear wax there isn't really a problem. But I am no medical professional.

I wouldn't. I also want guests to take of their shoes upon entering my house and I don't let anyone sit on my bed with clothes they wore outside on.

That would be suspicious to catch an ego infection. Some cannot afford to ride high horses and need their feet to touch the ground at all times.

Yes, and i did many times. Nothing bad ever happened. Just wipe them before you stick it in your ear
