Discussion Would you buy N if you could?

Would you buy N if you could? An odd question, I suppose. The obvious answer might be 'yes'. But, I've never really thought about it until now and I don't think I would.

It's illegal, right? I know legality isn't really something to get in the way of something like CTB, but I think I'd be so nervous about getting caught or something that I just wouldn't take the risk. Even if it got to me safely and perfectly, with no one luckily intercepting the delivery (as happened with my SN), just having it and knowing it's an illegal item would stress me out. I mean, I guess I don't know what the punishment for it would be tbf. I'm assuming it'd be bad though.

Another thing I think about is the price. If a new source becomes available I'd imagine it would be ridiculously expensive. I doubt I'd be able to afford it but even if I could I'm not sure I'd want to sink that much money into it and leave myself with nothing. Again, though, I have no idea about how much it'd actually be, so maybe my mind is exaggerating it.

Either way, rather contradictory, although I want N to become easily available again, I don't think I'd rush out to purchase any, at least immediately. Although I would like the reassurance of a peaceful death, which N apparently provides, I'm not sure spending tons of money and risking jail time (I presume?) is something I'd actually be willing to go through with.

So, that's my question to you: upon really thinking about it, would you actually buy N if you could? (I know most will say 'yes', understandably, I'm just seeing how many people are as nervous as me about such a prospect lol.)

Yes I would. I think chances are if you explained what you wanted it for, they'd section you rather than put you in prison, but I guess you never know. The cost will be bad though. I'm so short on money. And I wouldn't use it for ages so it could go to waste if it expires. Difficult choice. If I had a lot more money then I'd definitely do it. If caught first I'd say I didn't order it, and if that doesn't work, I'd say it was for suicide. But I'm pretty sure it wouldn't get caught. I'm sure it would be fine, either way. Just the money's a problem though. Only because I'm intending to live for a while now and have more interesting things to spend my money on.

I feel similar to you. I'd have to have a great deal of reassurance it would arrive safely. I'd also absolutely need to be sure that if you get caught the consequence isn't going to be something crazy like getting sent to prison. Even then, would I risk it? I don't know.

We all want a peaceful death but the reality is I don't think most of us get to be that lucky, for a whole variety of reasons.

I think that it's too risky to buy N as it's illegal and I read about someone receiving a wellness check. And when it used to be available it just sounded so complicated to get as well. I really wish for N more than anything but I cannot ever see it being a reality for me in this pro suffering society.

I've bought illegal things off the dark web before (mdma, shrooms, dmt) and had no problems. I don't think the LEO around here care about personal quantities of illegal substances

suppose a person (in US) has a terminal illness - that implies terrible, terrible suffering
this person lives in a state where voluntary euthanasia is illegal
should that person suffer unbearably until they die (in the current state), or should they move to Oregon?

do you trust:
- laws created by religion (old mentality - UK), or
- laws created by logic and common sense (modern mentality - canada)?

i don't want to fight for nembutal to become legal - i fight for respect of personal autonomy and dignity
this is about a higher principle: compassion, and basic freedom of self governance

when autonomy will be respected: not only will nembutal be legal, but it will also be reasonably priced

Definitely would, even though it's illegal - fuck if I've cared about that before. The price would probably hurt, but it's worth it for the security of knowing there's a way out if I need it.

Although I agree with you and would like the world to be as you stated, as it stands whether I agree or disagree and whether I trust or distrust current laws is irrelevant, as it doesn't change the presumed fact that there would be punishment if caught with it due to it's current illegality, which is the dilemma one would have to face when considering buying N at this time. Which is unfortunate.

Maybe, I feel as if F is a equally good option too for CTB so I guess if I was going to CTB as peacefully as possible it might just be easier for me to get F at that point instead of N.
