• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

If a method to CTB were perfectly reliable and immediate and required only a single press of a button, would SI remain? In other words, is there a point where abstraction becomes so great that self preservation fails?

Probably very little, it's an action that is in itself simple and fast. And we don't really have an evolved fear for something like that.

I would say absolutely, yes. This is basically using a gun. 90%+ reliable and all you have to do is pull the trigger. Yet people hesitate.

If I had such a way to permanently cease existing then I'd be long at peace from this dreadful, torturous and deeply undesirable existence that only ever harms and tortures existing beings with no limit as to how much agony one can feel, to suffer in this existence is the most terrible abomination to me and all I want is to be permanently free from it all.

In this existence so torturous that just causes endless amounts of suffering non-existence is all I see as positive, only non-existence can solve everything for me as after all if I don't exist I cannot suffer, I just want to never suffer again in this evil existence and there's just so much evil in existing, to me existence will just always be the most terrible mistake and for me every second is torture to be conscious, this existence never should had been imposed, I'll always see the existence of life as the most terrible, devastating tragedy.

If it just immediately causes cessation of electrical function in your body, then I think it would pretty much eliminate SI. Moreso than a gun even, where it's possible to visualise the outcome.

I even imagine hovering over the button being quite a euphoric experience when I try and picture it.

I mean that's pretty much what CBT by firearm is except that it's a trigger and not a button.
