I hope we're allowed to warn others?
Please exercise caution. I'm pretty sure it's NOT SN you are buying. It's Sodium Nitrate at best. Here are my findings
There are 3 or 4 listings and I'm fairly sure they're all the same person. I messaged each of them to ask the purity level. Only 1 answered. I think this is because "she" had already answered to me once so decided not to bother answering under her other names/listings. It would have been more credible if she had answered them all and just used her different names. I mean, Why would you not answer someone if it meant a potential sale?
Now the picture of the BASF bag on their listing - the picture that other members here have already shared in their posts - the wording is in english and the bag does not state purity levels. I went onto the BASF website and even the spec sheet does not state purity. Very odd indeed. Yet seller claims the product is 99% pure. So i messaged her back and asked how she could be so sure if it wasnt stated on the bag?
She then stupidly sent me the exact same spec sheet shown on another seller's listing. More anecdotal evidence they are all the same person.
Now the spec sheet is in Russian or some similar language. And if you look at it carefully, it states NaNO3 not NaN02. I did a reverse image search and nothing comes up
There are several people here who say they have bought from this vendor. I would urge you not to use the product - or at least get it tested, pretty sure you will find it's not SN.
I assume you understand she is supposedly syphoning off small amounts, supposedly from the BASF bag you see pictured, so any label she puts on the smaller packs is her own and there is no evidence whatsoever the stuff even comes from the bag pictured: especially not when you are being sent a spec sheet for nitrate not nitrite!
It is impossible to source in UK unless you can prove you are a company in the food processing/meat curing business. An official notice was put out by the UK authorities in Aug 2020 calling for the restriction of SN, which is why everthing has been tightened up.
Trying to keep this short as I'm having problems with my vision at the moment, but felt it important to warn those who have already purchsed from this vendor.
