I hope we're allowed to warn others?

Please exercise caution. I'm pretty sure it's NOT SN you are buying. It's Sodium Nitrate at best. Here are my findings

There are 3 or 4 listings and I'm fairly sure they're all the same person. I messaged each of them to ask the purity level. Only 1 answered. I think this is because "she" had already answered to me once so decided not to bother answering under her other names/listings. It would have been more credible if she had answered them all and just used her different names. I mean, Why would you not answer someone if it meant a potential sale?

Now the picture of the BASF bag on their listing - the picture that other members here have already shared in their posts - the wording is in english and the bag does not state purity levels. I went onto the BASF website and even the spec sheet does not state purity. Very odd indeed. Yet seller claims the product is 99% pure. So i messaged her back and asked how she could be so sure if it wasnt stated on the bag?

She then stupidly sent me the exact same spec sheet shown on another seller's listing. More anecdotal evidence they are all the same person.

Now the spec sheet is in Russian or some similar language. And if you look at it carefully, it states NaNO3 not NaN02. I did a reverse image search and nothing comes up

There are several people here who say they have bought from this vendor. I would urge you not to use the product - or at least get it tested, pretty sure you will find it's not SN.

I assume you understand she is supposedly syphoning off small amounts, supposedly from the BASF bag you see pictured, so any label she puts on the smaller packs is her own and there is no evidence whatsoever the stuff even comes from the bag pictured: especially not when you are being sent a spec sheet for nitrate not nitrite!

It is impossible to source in UK unless you can prove you are a company in the food processing/meat curing business. An official notice was put out by the UK authorities in Aug 2020 calling for the restriction of SN, which is why everthing has been tightened up.
Trying to keep this short as I'm having problems with my vision at the moment, but felt it important to warn those who have already purchsed from this vendor.

I don't think we need to be panicking so much about SN from that site.

Well if its not SN then people need to know. There are people here who have bought it and think they have legit product.

Why would someone fake SN though or scam people with it? Its cheap enough. Its a salt.

It's not like someone's trying to buy cocaine and seller actually fills the bag with talcum powder to scam you out of money.

I know of one user who is no longer with us. They bought from one of those sellers. Another member tested SN from a different seller on that site, the test results showed SN.

Both very valid points.
Also, Suicide wiki says something along the lines of.... if SNitrite can no longer be sourced then SNitrate (& other similar stuff) can be used instead.

i just looked and there are a few different ones. including one with a spec sheet clearly stating its NaNO2.

anyone that has bought can simply test for sodium nitrite with an aqarium nitrite test kit.they aren't even expensive

It costs pennies, isn't illegal where they are so why would they try and scam. plus its on a normal clearnet site where people can openly write bad reviews

your scaremongering without proof

I'm struggling to follow your train of thought Kruger.

The vendor doesn't show the purity level on the bag, but neither does the massive chemical giant BASF - so which is the conman, BASF or the vendor?

Got worried for a second there. What rule did you accidentally break?

I'd tell you but that might be breaking another rule, then I'd get totally banned.

Fuck it thought I'd ask, Anyone from the Uk want to do SN together Rather than alone. I'm leaning towards this method and why not be with someone in the same frame of mind

There was a thread not too long ago about the SN from this seller. Eventually, someone asked a friend, who speaks Russian, what it meant and they thought that it was listing impurities, not the amount of nitrite. As in, it is ~99% nitrite and the mention of NaNO3 is just a trace amount

Does this crafts site start with the letter E with orange and Sn goes by the name vocal feral doggie? (I didn't come up with that but it's hilarious)

Ahh! Vocal feral doggie (LW) is the only brand of SN on that site I trust. There was a user on here who tested it with that brand and came up with 99.6%. It's easy to confuse with nitrate for me so I always tell myself the 4 oz is always more expensive.

As others have pointed out, in a country where it's legal and doesn't cost very much, why would they bother tricking customers into buying sodium nitrate instead of sodium nitrite?

What's their motivation? They wouldn't save money. Do you really believe these chemical seller/s in Ukraine have realised that people are using for suicide and decided that would like to do their bit for suicide prevention and missell their product?

Your post doesn't make any sense. Are you trying to scare people away from buying it? Is that your motivation for writing this?
