Venting Wish people would put a shred of effort into being empathetic, understanding and considerate of others and of the consequences of their words/actions

I don't even know what to add besides that most people I've seen in this site from their own suffering have grown to be very mindful and empathetic of others and I am grateful for that if not for your suffering, though that's not to say there aren't malicious people here too but they are rather the exception than the rule.

But pretty much the as title says, it just makes me sick the amount of people who are so shameless and quick to treat others like garbage and not give them an ounce of consideration and the internet has made this phenomenom so pronounced by letting people the freedom of expressing themselves without consequence and to be as loud as they want. I don't understand it. I do in theory but in practice I don't understand how can we as humans with conscience take so much freedom to and relish in trampling over others.

It really does take so little effort to be decent, I don't think people should be taking their hearts out to help others or doing grand acts of generosity but even the simple idea of not going out of your way to hurt other people seems impossible to achieve for humanity and it's while not intelectually still emotionally incomprehensible to me. I understand it conceptually only, I don't actually understand how can we be so fucking horrible.

I agree with you. No freedoms come without consequences. That is the nature of being free.

Unfortunately everything you say is true. I think that the world has completely lost its values and priorities. That is perfectly observable with the latest global events. And I also don't understand why people have become like that. Life is really unfair and unkind.
