My parents usually leave me alone on New Year's eve or at Christmas. It's perfect, I don't even have to wait for them to go to work or for my sister to be gone, I'll just have the whole day to myself without any possibility of interruption. I'll get drunk, and play the choking game with my rope until I get it right. Does anyone else want to ctb in winter?

Yeah when it's summer hot I would enjoy thinking about winter and when it hits first couple of weeks are enjoyable but then I'm like "alright that'll do". That's why I moved south.

When it comes to winter, it's not the weather or anything like that that bothers me. The Christmas rush and that building up of anticipation and stress is the worst. This will be my third Christmas working in a retail environment and I've found that during those long shifts I mentally switch off and go onto autopilot.

I don't have any preference as to which season I want to CTB in, but I need it to be a really arbitrary date, not near any of my family's birthdays in winter or in summer. Ideally spring I guess?

I prefer winter to summer. When i was a child 30C was probably the hottest day of the year... now having 40C is common for summer. And some people doubt still there is global warming

I don't like winter, I hate cold and my depression gets so much worse. I lose all energy and motivation to even go outside. I plan to ctb before this winter starts.

Reading the comments on here I didn't realise how many others hate it also. Makes my depression and anxiety much worse.

Huh, I've never actually thought about this, how interesting. I don't think I care about which season I ctb, all that really matters to me is that I make all the preparations I need, tie up loose ends, etc.

...But now that I think about it, it might be pretty to ctb in a snowy setting.
