Discussion Will you prepare your body?

Hey everyone,

I was just wondering if people are planning to prepare their body/clothes when they go to ctb?

I know there are different methods here, and some do cause a mess, or cause the body to be damaged, but will you do your hair, have a shave, put on nice clothes etc for the bus? Or are you past caring and just want out and don't care?

I think I'm going to do some preparation, just a final shave etc, it's almost like a ritual for me at the time I guess, preparing for the end.

Those things never really matter because death is ugly no matter what. You can put on the best clothes, but forgot to take a last minute shit before hanging yourself. You can do your hair, but it wouldn't matter if you blew your head off. You can bathe and pretty yourself up, but no matter what, death is ugly, discolored, and smelly. Only people that would pretty you up is when you're at the funeral home.

For me, I like nature to take its course. I thought about strapping a few mouth water steaks on my hanging body and let the bears feast on me.

Like the OP, I'll likely shower and shave, brush and braid my hair; my family will almost certainly want to identify my corpse, and if I've gone to the trouble to use eb/N2 rather than shooting myself, for the benefit of their aesthetics, I might as well clean myself up as best as possible. I know I'll likely piss and shit myself, because people do when they die, but I can't do much about that. I'll wear old clothes that I don't care about, because the coroner will cut them away; my newer clothes I'll leave behind to bring someone some use at Goodwill.

I had a haircut this week. I'll shave the day before. That's it.

I'll mainly just try to make myself relaxed when I am ctb'ing. I will plan on having some notes written, one to comfort family and the people who have been good to me. (I won't include anyone IRL that has caused me grief or harm in that note.), The other one which won't be shared with anyone IRL, but maybe here since you guys are understand and respect my (real and true) reasoning for ctb. Also, this serves as something for anyone here to continue where I left off, and allows something immortalized here for others to remember to use (I had plans to eventually get to legalizing voluntarily euthanasia but I know it won't likely happen in my lifetime especially in the US).

Other than that, I won't really make any specific changes to my body and all I want to do is just die as quickly and painlessly as possible.

I'll just wear what I would wear on any given day, nothing too special. I might wear my soccer Jersey in place of a random t-shirt if I feel up to it, but again, nothing spectacular.

I am an overly romantic and aesthetic-minded person, so there will most likely be some type of preparation, provided I have the opportunity to choose a future date and stick with it. Given the circumstances of my life, though, it is also possible that my death will be more... opportunistic... in nature.

I used to have a designated suicide dress back when a bullet to the heart was the plan, some gauzy white thing that was comfortable and looked good enough without a bra, but it isn't to my taste anymore and is no longer in good condition. Symbolism aside, I think I'd rather not die in white for obvious reasons.

I haven't picked a new suicide dress, but that would be part of my preparations. I plan to have a day of fasting beforehand, a final salon visit, some simple jewelery (if method allows).

Yes, the reality of death is gross and no amount of paint will make it less so, but I like the ritual aspect. A few last hours to take enjoyment where I can, to make whatever peace I can, and to prepare my mind.

I have been haunted by this partucular ghost for nearly 20 years. The next attempt I make won't fail; I know so much more now than I did when I hurt myself years ago. If I don't have to rush, I would rather take my time with things... Consider my preparation a victory lap.

I haven't seen or read an article about people who kill themselves being naked. Maybe they leave that part out.

I suspect that's personal enough, without being so sensational to increase newspaper sales, that they just omit that detail.

Unless it's a celebrity that people fantasize about. In which case I'm sure that detail would be included.

Oh you know damn well if it's a celebrity, the news will spill every little detail about that person that they can find. Like celebrities don't have a personal life or issues.

Definitely not. My suicide will probably be in a remote area, like the Alaskan bush, where wild animals will feast upon my dead body before any humans ever discover it.

I'm the same. Not going to make a huge effort but I'll shower and brush my teeth at least, and scrape my hair back

Im not going to eat for a day so I can shit everything out. Ill wear nice cloths and an adult diaper just in case. Sorted. My body should look nice as Im using niotrogen.

Oh yes. I intend to have my hair cut and colored, eyebrows threaded, mani-pedi on my fingernails and toenails a day or two before. On the day of my ctb, I intend to take a nice long bath. After that, dress up, style my hair, put on makeup and jewelry -- and make sure that I am wearing an adult diaper under my clothes. Hopefully, I will have a presentable corpse

Probably nice clothes look decent enough look normal not give way to get noticed and prepare the body and mind with liquor and smokes probably a full pack

last time i tried, i had a full day of preparation, for whatever reason. full shave, did my hair, shower, nice perfume, outfit... idk, i guess i'm so concerned with looks that i dont wanna be found looking messy

I'm going to be very clean snd specify that I want to be cremated. I have total disgust with my own body due to anorexia, and rotting is my worst fear, even if I won't be conscious.

I strongly feel my CTB is going to be on impulse. I have my kit ready but not yet the willpower to use it. I'm sure some kind of trauma will push me over the edge and I'll just do it in whatever clothes/bodily condition I'm in at the moment. I'm using N so it should be a pretty presentable corpse.
