It feels better to just sew my wallet into my pocket and let the cops deliver the news to my family.

Writing a note helps to bring closure to whoever in your family that needs it. Of course, it's a choice whether you want to leave one or not. I personally won't because people who knew me should already know why I did it, and if they didn't, that's their loss because I threw up plenty of signs.

If I write a note, it won't necessarily be to explain why I did it. But I probably have some things I'd like to say. I want my people to know how much they mattered, and that they made my life better despite what happens.
