I never thought it will be so hard/impossible to commit suicide. People used to die of flu and we cant manage to find a way out?! All methods are sooo complicated with so many instructions, risks, planning and more failures than successes. Seriously, just give me one easy and certain way out. I keep feeling ready, i log in to this forum and get so confused from how complicated it is to simply, die.
Whoever is there thinking of a new method- I'm too depressed and broke to plan it ahead, calculate amounts or follow all of the instructions (and then fail),i cant risk buying a gun or illegal drugs and my survival instinct wont let me hang myself or jump.C'mon,we need a way to just bam close our eyes forever. Isnt some brotizolam and benzos are enough?
Also, there are so many methods and mega threads and i get lost in them.. can someone make a chart like lostallhope has? Or maybe a more organized megathreads with links to stories of people who tried, a step by step guide, tips, etc etc? cause right now all comments are all over its just makes it so hard to gather enough information..

I never thought suicide will be so damn complicated with so little options and so to many instructions.

What if you simply can't die? This is just an observation...

But did you ever notice that every day is followed by a night?
Did you ever notice we always wake up after sleeping?
Did you ever notice spring always follows winter?

Don't get me wrong... You'll eventually die. I'm not saying this to depress you.
I'm just saying this because there does seem to be an obvious pattern in the world.
Everything seems to be composed of polar opposites.... that are sort of circular....

So what if... even after you die... you find out your still alive?
If you found out that you can't die... what else would you change?

Because the harder you want something the less likely of getting it. Thats the way this universe operates. People who die peacefully never planned it and those who plan it usually fail.

Easy to get when you dont need it and never getting it when you need it the most. This universe just likes to play these games.

Law of attraction says the universe never gives you what you want, it gives you what you feel. Problem is that when you feel shitty you cant just fake feeling good to attract better things

@Nobodysfault It mostly comes down to the damned survival instinct, which is responsible for keeping our species alive for millions (if not more) years throughout history. All living things have it and throughout time it gets stronger, thus anything that can cause harm or death would trigger it and it will do everything it can to avert harm, pain, or death.

@snowman626 Interesting corollary about the universe. I guess my response to that is that in the grand scheme of things, yes ultimately the universe dictates what happens, but in the temporary or even in the smallest events, an individual does have free will (to an extent). For example, if I wanted to go take a drink out of the tap water, I could do that, but if I wanted something more than that, perhaps more complex, then there are indeed more variables and more chances for things to fuck up.

Got me thinking about this woman who doesn't feel pain. Would she have the same fear of death? Are they one and the same or separate? She could be a serious risk taker but she knows just because it won't hurt the consequences will still be real. She said she's put her hands into boiling water and things before and then had to remind herself she shouldn't be doing that

Those pain receptors are there for a reason: to warn us of danger. I can't imagine how dangerous her life is and how careful she would need to be every minute of every day.

Saying that, I'd guess SI is very different and totally separate.

I remember a guy who had the same condition... Oh, wait - that was the James Bond movie 'The World Is Not Enough'

yes , totally. Apparently you even have to feel good enough to be able to die, because death is actually not bad ,like west tries and succeeded to persuade many of us.
"what you resists, persists" - buddhist s teaching. Fear brings resistance, so if I m terrified to be saved, I m greatly increasing the chances by introducing the resistance to that matter .
Till yesterday, I was sure its close to impossible to die by slitting the wrists. Well watched a serial killer doc, and the dude once he realized he wont get death penalty as they promised to him before, he just slit the wrists one day and succeeded !! Even the detectives were surprised. He was kinda smart tbh, but I believe it was due to the fact, cuz he was sociopath and do not experience much fear. (his name Israel Keyes)
I do actually hate the laws of this Universe , becasue once you are raised in fear ,and experience nothing but intense fear with heavy trauma , you are doomed, cant even die cuz death is too good for you : (

I agree. I tried dying 6 times now going onto my 7th planned attempt. Pretty sad huh? I can't even die right. Maybe I should just not plan it and run with the desire to die and see where that takes me. Why not? Planning it hasn't gotten me anywhere at this point.

Tbh it's just more of me being a coward and I guess I'm not at that "I seriously don't give a shit anymore" point completely yet. Who knows if I ever will get to the complete bottom but guess at this point I'd just know when it's seriously time for me to go with no second thoughts or regrets that end up having me back out.
