This drama with getting the site shut down reminds me of Reddit when we had suicide subs up. That's not even getting into the other censorship going on on that trash site.

What is it with normies trying to force us to exist though? Why is it their business? What is the point in sticking around when you're miserable?

Sorry I don't know. Maybe they have never considered their Survival Instinct seriously.
They just might fear with no reasonable reason their death and termination of human.

"Life is a gift" "It will get better, just wait" etc. I am also sick of hearing that kind of stuff

They are narcissists who are virtue signaling. They get an ego boost from pretending like they are fighting bad people and enjoy the attention. It's fun to pretend you want to save people and gets you some admiration.

I'm sure they have some sort of twisted logic for it. I'm not going to try to understand it or act like I care.

Pro lifers only get one response from me.

I guess normal people are simply programmed to live. They tend not to worry about weird stuff such as the meaning of life and the universe, the afterlife (they just believe in heaven and hell lol), etc.

Their lives are just: study, work as a slave, get married, have children, keep being a slave until you're grey and old and finally die.

They have not experienced enough pain and I'd be happy to provide it to them within the confines of the law.

With the extreme normies, the ones too biased to see beyond their own point of view, it's probably out of ego and discomfort. They are probably thinking how heroic and selfless they are being by saving someone. It stems from discomfort because knowing someone is intent on dying; disrupts their rose-tinted world view that some things, especially humans, cannot be fixed like mechanical parts.

I have a friend who's super into the idea of saving me. She always talks about how everything can get better when the shit I'm gonna be ctbing over like climate change isn't exactly likely to be fixed. My autism can't be fixed, my guilt from the person I used to be can't be fixed no matter how hard I try. It's really nice that she deeply cares about me and wants me to live but it gets annoying hearing it when I ask her something like if she'll be there if I ever do decide to CTB

Who determines that they are normal. After all normal is just a state of mind. From my perspective, I feel that I am normal and they are the oned with the issues. I often view the so-called normal people as a group of controlling bullies like the ones I encountered in high school. Oh and they are not really trying to save us, they are doing things to make themselves feel good and get a pat on the back. We just happen to be their hobby at the moment.

I don't think these people are trying to save us. Moreover, they are trying to control us, pushing their narrative that suicide is morally wrong. Do they really care if we live or die? I doubt it, especially seeing how some of these individuals have actually been wishing harm on members here!

Edit: I'm specifically referring to the group(s) trying to shut this website down.

I feel the same way, Greg. I think it has something to do with the real masters of the world--governments and corporations--wanting to discourage their cattle from leaving their industrial farms. Average-to-below-average schlubs like me make governments tax dollars and fight their wars, while we buy the crap corporations make to sate the 21st century god economy. If it were easier to get out of life, I bet a LOT more struggling people would opt for it, depriving the masters of their cheap expendable laborers.

Why other average people are so strongly opposed to suicide, at least I think, might have something to do with persistent but irrational moral reasoning. Maybe they're thinking about the desirable suicidal people--their family or "good" young people "with their whole lives ahead of them." Maybe they just don't want to think about those they otherwise happily label "losers." Notice how nasty they can become when a "loser" speaks up JUST about her/his own life. I've even read on many suicide forums these normal people who claim to want to help actively stigmatizing, insulting people who're open about their struggles.

I vote for us to use our collective technological savvy to protect our independence instead of being preoccupied with the outside community's hypocritical worldview. And for joining other international individual liberty movements to address the hypocrisy of the live-at-all-costs perspective in courts.
