The right to die movement seems reather non existent. We at best wisper about it at safe places, like this website. But there are no protests, no political pressure, no spreading of awareness.

Do you really think society will ever care if we don't advocate for ourselves?

They frame us as irrational madmans for trying to take our lives. They don't listen to our reasons and assume we are just compulsive and need to be locked up to cool down.

They completely ignore the reality of the nature of things like depression ans cptsd, assuming it's easily treatable. They pretend that every suicidal person has a mental illnesses, even though in many cases, we just don't have a life worth living, because of poverty, low social status, loneliness, chronic pain and countless other posible reasons.

They ignore us because of selfishness, because we don't fit into their pink glasses. Whether it's their idealistic ideology or religious belief about intrinsic value of life, it's incompatible with the reality we are forced to live.

Being trapped between the painful life and our fear of painful death is a horrible position to be. Yet they put us in it, by denying us the access to peaceful means of suicide. We have to rely on either painful or unpredictable methods.

I want a world, where I can say that I'm suicidal without being afraid of consequences. I don't want to be hospitalized, or have someone who never suffered like me lecture me about how "Life is though, but it's beutiful." or how it's "All just in your head".

I don't want being constantly adversed suicide helplines as if it was a magic pill, wheb they are known to be absolutely useless.

Most importantly I want as an adult have right for peaceful death, when I decide so.

Yes there definitely needs to be an organised campaign
I think there is increasing recognition that we live in a hellscape
Vast amounts opting for self deletion would make society and its rulers look evil (and they would be embarrassed by that)
Which they are
Obviously they would prefer it if we just carried on killing ourselves even if it means disrupting the rail network (a popular method here in the UK)

Because right now in most countries people who are suicidal can be institutionalized involuntarily, if we would want to fight I'd need to be violent, any other form will just have us picked up and send to the psychiatric ward.

because most people are fine with the status quo

most are not depressed or dont want to outright says so

most gave up but are now just living shells

and many other reasons

will we, even organized, make a huge enough impact?

i hope so, but no one knows

then there is religious and capitalism which are against it

at least these are what i think

In my country there have been many petitions to the president regarding this, but they didn't get enough signatures (25k required). And now, with the war taking place no one in the government will seriously consider this matter, 'cause the machine needs meat for its survival.

People who want to end themselves are not in a shape to organize and fight for this right and people who don't want to end themselves are at best apathetic towards this or worst case they are vehemently opposed to it.

Yes. Think about gay and trans people. There is really not so many of them, but they are advocating for themselves loudly and relentlessly and deffinitely managed to change a lot about the society.

Well, I'm willing to fight for it. It's true I'm barely able to leave my bed, but this is something for which I would be willing to do it. After all this society made me go through, it at least owes me a peaceful death!

We are too broken to even kill ourself if we fight for our right to die we might as well die for it maybe for the future generations..i dont know about others i might be wrong but im too broken to show any courage and fight back i have surrendered and im ready to kms even if its painful because the mental pain is more severe

This idea needs to spread. That's the main thing, some of us are more passive don't, but as long as we are at least willing to believe it, stand up for it in discussion and share the idea its going to end up getting towards the active ones.

The actitude that we can't make a difference needs to go. There is more than enough people that would be willing to support this, if they don't give up immediately.

Many people love argueing. So once it becomes actually controversial and there will be both people aggressively defending and opposing the idea, that's when it takes off on its own.
