Why does everyone act like being alive is the best outcome in any situation?

Do people not understand that there are worse things than death? Just because your still alive doesn't make your quality of life worth living.

I think it's a way to save face. I texed @Rocky M last week about hanging, and I asked a similar Question while we were chatting. She told me that society wants to show the best version of themselves, and that they'll sweep any kind of "gruesome" or "unpleasant " things under the rug. People are trying to save you to keep their own reputations. It's sick, honestly

I've always found that tremendously hard when someone has a physical condition which prevents them from doing the most basic of tasks and they're not allowed the option to permanently sleep.

Some people really just live in a bubble and have never experienced suffering in their life, so suicide is madness to them, because they are completely ignorant.

Surviving at all cost makes evolutionary sense, so it is quite unsurprising in this context. It is always harder to change opinion about our instinct. Few people think about suicide a lot, so they rely on their knee jerk reaction, which is what you guys see most of the time, you open up about your suicidal tendencies.
