What do they do that's so wonderful? I'm not talking about the rich but the average person.

I doubt they really do enjoy existing, the reality is that there will always be problems and suffering no matter what, even if the suffering isn't extreme. I personally could never see existing as being something appealing.

theres obviously not being suicidal but it can also be because they are more able to deal with pain

for me personally ive been suicidal before but i managed not to ctb since i quickly adapted

i doubt that most people are 100% satisfied with life, what i dont doubt is that people are very resiliant, naturally forums like this will attract those with a genetic or environmental reason for being sensitive about lifes issues.

everyone deserves a hug, nobody deserves to be mocked

Well, I've been happy for a brief time. I was just coasting because I had something novel and exciting to enjoy. I knew it would last for a limited time and then I'd have to suffer. I just didn't know how long. I exhumed every bit of joy I could; I dug it up. Truly savoured it. Now it's gone off to some impossibly far place. It has to be the same for some others.

I don't mean to sound like a terminally online user but I'll honestly never know. I see people going about their lives thriving. I can't comprehend how, especially for so long. Maybe they just live in a constant state of coping far better than others do

Don't they see that they're just running on a hamster wheel to nowhere? All the wasted stress and energy on things that don't matter.

i think they feel important and loved, which in hand creates a meaning that outweighs the suffering. perhaps they also view things more simplistic, kind of like a pet. they probably just don't mind the suffering, which i honestly envy to some degree.

they dont see the bigger picture and tend to live in blissful ignorance, at least in my own perspective of things.

Most of the 'happier' people I know have other people in their lives. Relationships that they clearly value. But then, I guess some people here do too. Don't know really. Maybe they're just better at making the best of it. Like- I'm pretty sure I'd still be miserable- even if I had their life!

People are bad. I don't know how people can enjoy the company of snakes.
