* Doesn't penalize you too heavily for failure unlike say partial (my original plan)
* Not that painful
* It has an alternative legit use (unlike say with F or N), thereby giving me plausible deniability if I get caught with it

I couldn't ask for more from a suicide method. I pretty much started googling for sources immediately after I saw it on PPH. In fact ironically that's how I found SS.

Pentobarbital is illegal and I don't know anything about cryptocurrency.
I don't know of any tall buildings near me.
I don't know how to find a high speed train line.
Everything else is too painful or risky or unreliable.

Slightly tangential, but does anyone know if there are physical consequences from a failed fentanyl attempt? I'm getting very scared of the oxygen deprivation from sn. I know sn doesn't have much in the way of physical consequences but I have planned to go next month and I'm understandably rather terrified about the whole thing at times.

It sounds like one of the more reliable options that is also supposed to be relatively painless and non violent. Easily obtainable, easy to use, and inexpensive.
No searching for then lugging heavy equipment, no learning how to hook up parts and hoses for the gas method.
If I could get N or an equivalent, I'd definitely choose that, but not only is it nearly impossible to find, in some cases it's cost prohibitive.

An overdose of opiates can lead to paralysis. Be careful with opiates.

According to SN failed attempts I saw one case(Jen0804) with kidney damage, other cases without consequences.

Also there is russian article (pages 5,6) about sn conscequences:
"In severe cases of intoxication due to degenerative changes in erythrocytes and a decrease in their resistance, hemolysis and secondary hemolytic anemia occur (on the 3-5th day after poisoning). In this case, hemoglobinuria, kidney damage (nephropathy with varying degrees of acute renal failure) and liver damage (toxic hepatopathy) can be observed. Severe acute vascular insufficiency (nitrite shock), coma, pulmonary edema may develop. The clinical picture of poisoning is highly variable. In some cases, changes in the respiratory organs come to the fore, in others - in the cardiovascular and central nervous systems, in others - in the blood system."

It is the most reliable method for me. It is cheaper, it can be acquired easier depending on location. Most importantly, it leaves my body in one piece, to avoid others being traumatized by seeing horrid scenes.

I wanted to try CO, long drop hanging or jumping, but after considering all the risks for long term damage if failed, I took some time to research SN. I also knew someone on here who did try hanging before, but failed and was successfull with their SN CTB a week ago. This made me become open to considering SN. I never considered it prior to this. Now it is my preferred method, while the other 3 are backups if SN fails.

• it's legal (in my area), accessible, and cheap.
• it's much MUCH more peaceful than other methods.
• couldn't get any opioids (fent) or N because it's mad expensive + illegal.
• there's a higher chance of fatality than failures. if i were ever to fail, there won't much consequences physically.

plus, i think that when someone finds my body, it wouldn't be much of a horrific scene to look at. i'd like to think that i'd probably look like i'm just sleeping.
