Help Why are people on a suicide forum so interesting?

Why do I find more people that I actually don't mind talking to or reading about their life stories here than in other places? Am I an innately suicidal person and that's why?

Interesting people tend to be unique, excentric, different. All things that normies absolutly hate and will bully the absolute shit out of someone for, turning a loooooooot of them into suicidal bois.

Maybe because people here are more honest due to anonymity.
They also have no intentions to impress, as on other networks, leading to being more sincere and genuine.
And actually it's life circumstances that make us who we are so people with difficulties tend to be more interesting because they have more life history than people who have always had an easy life.

We are the black sheep of the world. There aren't too many people with the same mind set or thought processes as us. So often times when I'm reading a thread, it's almost like I'm taking a glimpse into myself. I can sympathize, since I'm going through the same thing.

Relatability? Openess? Taboo subjects? Arguably there's a correlation between misery and intelligence too (though by no means is this any kind of rule). Tbh with you I don't really find anyone more interesting per se, but I do like the average user here much more than the average person.

Suicide is quite unnatural. Although suicidal behaviours have been observed in a few other species as well, it is debatable whether those animals consciously committed suicide.

Since suicide is not natural, it is not normal. Normal is boring, normal is average, normal is uninteresting.

Every suicidal person has a unique story on why and how they became suicidal. This uniqueness sets the suicidal apart from the normal ones whose lives usually tend to be rather similar to their peers.
