i know it's only been a couple days (5 days) since i started them but is it normal for me to be as anxious or more anxious than usual? i got prescribed escitalopram and olanzapine and im waiting for it to start working so i can function like usual

i cant believe i have to wait for my meds to start working when i sought help because im tired of waiting my anxiety and depression out i am so so praying that it'll work by christmas because i know I'll be so depressed that day

idk if i should just drink escitalopram rn to calm myself down or wait until bed time

why won't my brain leave me alone lmfao why do i have to care so much about everything i am so tireddd

ssris in general kinda take a while to work. anxiety might be the meds but might also be the thought of the meds. try to stick to same time same amount every day. if you need a quick anxiety fix mention it to your doctor, a benzodiazepine would be more effective but don't mention it by name because then you'll sound drug seeking. just ask for a faster acting anti anxiety med.
