Why are doctors and insurance companies so old-fashioned who always have to be right and can't even listen to the patient? Especially psychiatrists. I have been through so many psychotropic drugs and nothing has really helped me. Started with Quetiapin, Fluoxetine, Lithium, Elvanze and stopped with Lorazepam. And that although for years I have known that medical cannabis has good effects on me. Sure there is the risk of psychosis, but have you ever read the side effects of the above drugs? It doesn't seem to matter... Every now and then I pay for it out of my own pocket and make myself liable to prosecution, just because my doctor says "no, only people who are addicted / drug addicts or seriously ill with cancer take this". As if my illness wasn't that bad, instead of thinking that it might be worse than cancer, because with cancer there is at least a chance that it can be cured. My depressions are genetically predisposed and inherited, cure impossible. Sorry for the small rant but it upsets me that on the one hand I'm being bombarded with drugs that have only side effects and hardly any positive effect, while on the other hand I know at least something that helps me better than their garbage.

Many doctors aren't worth their bills. They push what they get paid to push. They shove you out their door in under 30 minutes, and keep switching shit up without telling you that most meds have only a percentage chance of working in a percentage of consumers.
Some don't want to do some things cuz they scared they'll get sued. They prefer to make you pay out the ass for shit that doesn't work like it should, you don't want or need it. And a lot of times you're putting more harmful shit into your body than helpful shit. But that can also be applied to what you eat and drink regularly as well. So pick your poison I suppose.

But yeah. No doctors and facilities are a joke.

Let's not forget they push and shove insurance down our throats and bloat prices so much. I just left the dentist. I know I need a deep medical cleaning, but I cannot afford it. I can afford a basic yearly clean. They refused because they were scared I'd sure them for "not treating" the bigger problem.
Translation pay or we can't help. I can't afford that. I have no work I have no home. And frankly Its not worth it when your zest for living is dulled and you need the money you have to eat. You telling me it can kill me if it goes untreated isn't the motivation you should have gone for. Lmao
And that's recent. I remember being part of the rotating door of patients in and out of the local psych clinic. I needed to type pin cushion on my head and I know I didn't change pills or doses nearly as much as everyone else commonly did.

Unfortunately people are also made to feel like they have no other choice but what they're doctors say. I'm like baby we are allowed to walk out. Unless you tell them you don't like living and the call the cops and force you into the ER where you lie like hell to get out and then they want YOU to pay for the experience you didn't ask for or want. Simply because the person asking the questions was to stupid to understand the answers given.
... Sorry my fingers ran away with me...😅

I dislike most psychiatrists. They have a hard time empathizing for some reason. My old doc told me to take a bus and train to resume treatments that left me physically and mentally incapacitated afterwards... like, lady, I can't even walk and you expect me to spend HOURS hopping from bus to bus to get home? She was also one of those "weed bad wahh" kind of people.

I had to switch this month, the new doctor wanted to put me on a fuckton of pills I had never tried even though I would be out of town for a few weeks. Totally not a bad idea lol.

Computers will replace most physicians. They can diagnose better and prescribe quicker. The white lab and stethoscope will pass.

Doctors have a profession that implies authority. They have power. But doctors make mistakes like all other people. There are many reports against doctors. But the doctors get away with most things. I myself have been mistreated and misdiagnosed, which ruined my life even more. The patient may have more knowledge about his illness than the doctor. The doctor does not remember everything from his education and is not a specialist in everything to do with the body. It is not possible to know everything.

They can't empathize because most of them are narcissists and psychopaths.

Because many devote so much of their lifelong mental resources towards book schooling, hence never devloping any kind of social interacting skills or charisma. Additonally, the prestige and respect that they garner as a doctor (often in the form of getting their asses kissed) can lead to a holier-than-thou attitude. Don't ever be afraid to get chippy with them and put them in their place. Once they know a patient won't take any shit form them, they'll often change their attitude.

I had one psych nurse practitioner who truly cared. After seeing her for seven years, she retired. Now I'm with a woman who *I* give the directions to. She prescribes mostly useless meds and gets me out the door in under 15 minutes. I go because I feel Lamictal helps a little and I need Klonopin on standby should panic attacks start again. If I could stop going, I would because $80 for 15 minutes is a joke.

Basically, there are very few who care and almost all psych meds mess with my GI system.

I actually know a fair number of doctors and psychiatrists personally, and work generally takes a heavy toll on them. They tend to work long hours, and have a relatively small amount of time they can spend with each patient. One guy I know in particular, a child psychiatrist, has seen stuff so fucked up I'm pretty sure he's one of us now. Psychiatrists genuinely have the highest suicide rate of any profession.

I have no idea what your particular situation is, but they often are exposed to so much messed up stuff that they tend to compartmentalize and become less social during their working hours, even if your particular case isn't that bad.

A lot of them wanted to study psychiatry in the first place to try to find out whats wrong with themselves.

Doctors were once honored, even beloved, members of society, but that was a long time ago.

Some of my classmates who are aspiring doctors were some of the worst people I had the displeasure of being around. They would say things about disabled people, encourage classmates they were competing with to kill themselves and say all sorts of damaging things to get under their skin. Then when they got to college started to virtue signal about how much they cared about people with disabilites and became advocates for mental health to boost their reputation. They would engage in slander against other rival premed students and say they either cheated or lied on an essay or interview. Even going as far as to email colleges their rivals got into that they were cheaters. But without hard proof they couldn;t bring them down. They study medicine not because they care about others, hell some even engage in shitty capitalist ventures like exploiting restaurant staff and retail workers in their small shops and gas stations at their side gigs. They study it because they are good at it and it brings them personal satisfaction to innovate and have those lightbulb moments.

Never explain something with stupidity or monetary interest if it can be explained with malice. (Or so this cringe saying can be constructed. Why not all three? Sadistic greedy idiots. Just mind the adjective order!)

It's not even that. When I tell my mom the elite people want to kill me, she gets triggered. And I'm not schizo, I'm just a Ukrainian male! Some people just find it foreign to think, or think for themselves. It's the same for medicine men - why would they challenge their own identity? It's not like they care to help in the first place, lmao.

If you want medical weed it is best finding a specific medial weed doctor or booking an online appointment with one. They are more likely to give it to you. Alternative would be ordering delta-8 or HHC and combing them with CBD taken separately (they are CBD free, sadly). Best of luck.

It's honestly such bs.
While I don't personally like weed or anything that gets me high / out of the ordinary I notice the same thing with other meds.
They happily prescribe a bunch of anti-depressant and anti-psychotic drugs, things that have many risks and side effects and they don't even work.
Benzos work for me just fine though, I have no side effects whatsoever but due to the stigma this class of medication has they don't like to prescribe them.

It just makes me wonder.. why not prescribe something that works? They're well known and widely used for a reason and it's not like I don't get dependant on the other meds, in fact imo they're worse cause benzos act immediately, so I don't have to take them daily, the other ones I have to take for months at a time to even find out if they work or not...
