Most things to do with healthcare or social work are horribly underpaid for the workload and importance to society. Entertainment, fossil fuel, banking industries are all criminally overvalued while keeping the ball rolling to our inevitable decline as a species while we drag the rest of the fauna with us.

With the current technology and resources I'll give the least nuanced answer possible and say that any profession that leaves you struggling to make ends meet is underpaid, anyone working should have their basic needs covered and a little extra for emergencies or you know... to live a life for something other than being a wage slave.

Overpaid: All those earning more than you could possibly spend in a reasonable life without massive excesses, income that enables spending ludicrous amounts on the most trivial and ridiculous things. Money hoarders and eccentrics detached from the daily life of us dumbass mortals living paycheck to paycheck, I don't care what contribution they made to society, other people shouldn't starve so you can afford the newest $10,000 gucci bag every week or whatever the fuck.

I think this is a difficult question. It depends a lot on the country we live in.

In my country judges, lawyers, managers, accountants, IT people, politicians, doctors, etc. earn well.

On the other hand, veterinarians, secretaries, teachers, security guards, etc. unfortunately earn little.

Teachers, service workers and cleaners are underpaid. The amount of patience that is required to put up with the constant amount of shit (sometimes even literally) that comes with these jobs is on a whole other level.
