Let's say that, one day, a mysterious stranger knocks on your door with quite an interesting offer. In one of his/her hands there is a blue pill. In the other there is a red pill. He/she says that both of the pills can end your suffering, but in different ways. If you take the blue pill, your ability to feel pain or sadness will be totally supressed, and your awareness of the evils in this world will totally disappear. You would be able to live the rest of your life in a state of total blissful ignorance. You might even become a pro-lifer. If you take the red pill, however, your brain activity will slowly and steadily decrease and by the end of the week you will die peacefully in a coma-like state, similar to death by N but giving you enough time to say goodbye to your dear ones. By taking the red pill, you would be able to die in your terms and with your identity and awareness preserved. You also have the option to slam the door at the stranger's face, obviously. If you decide to get one of the pills, you might also give it to someone in need or take it at any moment you want.
So, what would you guys do in this situation? Would you take the blue pill, or the red pill? Or would you decide not to trust the stranger? If it was up to me, I would take the red pill, as I'd rather die than live in ignorance. I'm looking forward to see your answers.

Does it mean I have to go through a mirror to get to the strained end results? I was taught never to trust mirrors... and is this stranger a rabbit?

If the blue pill would cure my health conditions I would take that. If not then I would take the red pill.

Definitely not. This stranger is more like a drug seller you can meet on a dark alley. Very trustworthy.

My eyes are wide open and I see through this lol but seriously if that happened I'd take the red pill and keep it safe for a week before taking it as that is my timeline to CTB

I would take the red bill. The blue pill doesn't take into consideration the fact that life, in its current form, is extremely stressful. You have to work either one exhausting job, or two exhausting jobs, to make ends meet. You're constantly under threat of being fired because most bosses are disgruntled baby boomers who want to keep all the money that your hard work makes. You're constantly having to prove your economic worth to people who've already decided that you're economically useful. You can erase evil, but you can't erase the need for you to be economically useful to survive. What's worse is that the economy you're living in keeps getting smaller, and human labor is being replaced with robots every day. The issue isn't sadness. It's what's causing sadness. You can erase sadness, but you can't erase stress.

I've grown to know not to trust anyone... so...

Alice in wonderland reference, moot.

There will never be a savior in this type of reality. My 2 cents anyway. Cool mind trip tho

If the blue pill would return me to perfect health, no mental illness, I'd take that. Otherwise, the red pill.

The red pill if it wasn't painful and hopefully it would get you high as well.

Red pill. I want to live the truth. I'm constantly worried of living in a simulation or of not existing at all so I want the truth and truth only.

If the blue pill would turn me into a good-looking, healthy cis, then that. The red pill, if I'm promised an awakening from this stupid computer dream simulation. Both pills, if they give me cool super powers.

Well I certainly wouldn't take the blue one.
If I could take a pill to fix my problems I would. But it would have a different description than either of those.

Also, I think this stranger here of yours makes daily visits to everyone around me.
Their tongues must look like blue raspberry fundip.

The obvious answer would be that such a thing is impossible and to trust a stranger making such an outrageous claim would be rather preposterous.

Per hypothesis: if such a thing were real I'd take the blue pill for the simple reason that my death would hurt my loved-ones and if this can be avoided at all I'd choose that.

Given that the way anyone views the world is by definition a matter of perspective I don't think it's reasonable to claim one view is necessary more truthful or authentic than the other.

Philosophically I'm a pessimist but given that one can't live one's life assuming existence is primarely pain and completely pointless I'm faced with the choice between CTB and changing perspective at least on a practical level.

Assuming the stranger could be trusted and the pills do as you say, I'd take the red pill. However, I wouldn't use it myself. I'd save it to give to someone who really needed it.

The reason I wouldn't take the blue pill and do the same is that it has both a positive and negative effect, the negative being losing your awareness of the evils in this world.

If the pills did actually do this and if they were trustworthy I would definitely take the red pill so my partner would have enough time to say bye

I don't trust humans, so realistically, neither pill.

Logically, if the blue pill were to relieve all of my physical ailments and at least 4/5 of the mental stuff, I'd accept that. Maybe. Ignorance doesn't seem that pleasant.

I'd definitely take the red pill. Who even wants to live in blissful ignorance? Also, even though you won't feel sad anymore from taking the blue pill, bad things will happen regardless. It's all an illusion.
