With how hard some people try (and are still trying) to shut this site, if it was possible we already would have went offline a long time ago.

Though honestly... I wouldn't bother if we had to go to the dark web to come here. Seeing how utterly unused quarantined subreddits and the like are—I think dark web exclusivity would end this site for good. I hope I can get off before that happens

now to only wonder how to access it once it goes to the dark web...

that being said, if this place went into the dark web; i wonder if this place will get taken over by criminals; as there are mostly criminals roaming around in the dark web to my knowledge... also, people would no longer be able to find a place where they can openly discuss their suicide; unless they know someone that knows this place - which is probably very low, as (i feel like) most people that know about SS usually CTB sooner or later.

Sanctioned Suicide is a vital lifeline for those who are in a rough spot in their lives. If this website was to close down, it would sever the bonds and connections that certain users, especially lonely individuals, have with each other. Those connections may be the only ones which they have - it would destroy them. This would result in even more suicides than before.

The better decision would be for outsiders to try and understand why many people join this community in the first place. The fact that we have to talk anonymously and over the internet about our darkest thoughts should point toward a larger issue.

I don't know where I would go without SS, the dark web is not for me anymore.

In my darker times I know I can come here and just be without being scorned or judged. I feel that SS has much more influence in keeping me alive than ctb and gives me a refuge to come up for air before returning to life down in the depths.

Those who campaign to close SS need to understand that people like me need to feel there is some belonging and removing SS could put more people over the edge than they realise.

People will probably end up more isolated if there is no more SS. I just think it can help people having an place where they can anonymously share thoughts. There will probably always be some pro choice community on the internet though as people are understanding rational suicides more with countries allowing euthanasia etc

I guess going to the Dark Web has it's ups 'n' downs.

The ups---more freedom to speak bluntly, no need to use euphyemisms, more freedom to actually talk to people without fear of someone spying on you, perhaps even having the ability to actively meet SS partners in person without fear of prosecution.

The downs---I've heard horror stories about the Dark Web, and I'm afraid to go there. Are any of you folks scared of taking the plunge, to see the Dark Web just once? yeah I know I'm a wuss ha! If SS goes to the Dark Web, the forum would probably become active with N and SN scammers. which would really suck.
