  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at admin@sanctioned-suicide.net.

Trying to find a place to hang your self is much harder than it seems. I originally wanted to do it in a hotel room using the hotels bathroom door, but then I realized that most hotel rooms door hinges are probably too weak to hold all of my weight (170lbs) without breaking. I would prefer to do it in a secluded room (I'm also going to use one of those stand up dressing screens to hide the room my body is in & leave a note on the dressing screen to warn whoever that there is a dead body behind the dressing screen) & not outside where some random person might find me & become traumatized. But I can't think of any other secluded places that will actually have a sturdy enough door or ceiling beam to support all of my weight. Anyone have any ideas?

It should be somewhere you're comfortable, but it has to be somewhere that you won't be found for at least a couple of hours once you do it, since if you're found after passing out but before dying there's a good chance you'll have some brain damage.

A hotel is a great option if you can afford it.

At home or in a hotel room. I thought about from a tree in a wood / forest but with that you've got to make sure you choose a branch at the right height, make sure the slip knot around the branch is done correctly and making the noose at the right height to allow suspension is not so easy especially if you are stood on a folding stool on slightly uneven ground. You probably don't need full suspension. In a hotel room you could tie the rope / cord to the bathroom door handle, pass it over the top of the door (that will create friction) , then make the noose, put it around your neck and basically go into the kneeling position so you partially suspend from it. A small hand towel underneath the noose would prevent the noose digging in painfully but you would still go unconscious due to pressure on the carotid arteries and the restriction of the airway. Make sure there is at least a couple of hours before room service knock on the door.
