I think my favorite would be Junji Ito. His work is stunning. Especially the spiral artwork in 'Uzumaki'. I remember reading his books when I was younger and imagining different worlds and scenarios. His work was one of the things that inspired me to start drawing.

i've been planning to read some of junji ito's works for some time. the only one i've read so far was "the enigma of amigara fault". his style is so pleasing.

as for my personal favorite creators, i've only been a rammstein fan for a little over a year, but they're one of my favorite bands. i love how their songs can be interpreted in multiple ways, and how they convey so many concepts with such simple sentences. not to mention how till's voice perfectly suits the lyrics he sings, and how he can scream in one song and be singing so softly and sadly in the next. i want to read some of his and flake's books soon.

I love grimes, my opinion has kind of shifted since she had a child even tho I know that's her business. I also like Melanie Martinez, Jazmin Bean, Dorian Electra, some kpop groups, Ashnikko... those were singers but when it comes to art I like Josef Bolf

Musically, I would say Skinny Puppy. Their work is so dark, aggressive, powerful, and their sound is unique and was so formative to industrial. Also, they're local to me so I'm biased <3 Also Nivek Ogre is hot.

I would say for visual art, definitely Junji Ito for me as well. Personally, I think my favourite of his might be Tomie.

I have many, but if I had to go with one out of a few I would say Akira Yamaoka. His work is just stunning, and he absolutely nails the atmosphere of whatever he's working on. Three personal favorite tracks are Room of Angel, The Day Of Night and Your Rain. Might I add, Mary Elizabeth McGlynn's vocals go over his work wonderfully.

I friggin love Junji Ito's artwork and story telling.
Melting Classroom is probably my favourite story by him.

The woodcut prints of Gustave Dore.
His fairytale illustrations are just magical.

This one is kind of silly, but I remember I admired a certain Pokemon card artist. The illustrations mesmerized me as a kid.

Beethoven. I think he was one of a kind.

Interesting story if you enjoy Beethoven. I heard an interview with a famous conductor, Gustavo Dudamel, a couple of years ago. This brilliant conductor claimed that he recently decoded a message within Beethoven's 6th symphony, which is my all time favorite classical piece. Apparently, Beethoven hid the same cadence from the first movement of his famous 5th symphony. The part most of us know - the part.....ba ba ba bammmmm...ba ba ba bammmm

Anyway, the 5th symphony was very dark for its time. Beethoven turned around and with his 6th symphony it is extremely uplifting to counter his prior dark symphony, whithin which he cleverly hid the exact same cadience that I illustrated above.

How brilliant that it took over 200 hundred years for someone to decode this, and kudos for the brilliant conductor to figure it out. Beethoven probably went to his grave with a kind of "an inside joke" never having reveled his secret to anyone. It must be so complex that I imagine Bethoveen figured no one would ever find it.

Love clever stuff like this!

If you enjoy classical music listen to his 6th symphony on YouTube, especially if you need to see if it might elevate your mood.
