Discussion What would you do with $3000?

There have been a lot of threads asking what people would do with millions of dollars, but I'm curious what you all would do with a smaller amount of money, say $3000 or the equivalent in your currency. It's still a lot of money, but it's probably not a life-changing amount of money.

Feel free to ignore these additional questions, but I'd be interested to hear your thoughts.

Would your answer change if you only had today to spend it, or if you weren't allowed to invest it in anything other than yourself? What would you do with $500 or $10,000?

I started this thread because I don't readily know my own answer, but I will try to answer later!

That's what I did with the birthday money I received a few weeks ago (hooray for continuing to exist?). It was intended to help her treat herself to a pedicure but then some truly bullshit expense came up.

I think it depends on how much worth 3k USD is where you live and what for you want to spend it for.

Well, with that amount of money I could do a lot of things where I live. The most basic needs (especially food/gas/water/power) to live can be covered for over 2 years for example (if you live in owned property). On the other hand a long haul flight in business or first can cost 3k+$ just to go in a vacation. 3k USD sounds a lot but actually in the globalized world it's just nothing anymore.

Most likely I would spend it on food, daily living expenses.

Any extra money goes Towards My suicide plan , suicide supplies, car rental to go to an isolated location, ammunition, anything I need to complete my suicide successfully. I don't want anything else. It's my only rational goal

Spend it on stupid shit. I get enough money from unemployment benefits to survive, and an extra 3000 wouldn't really change anything tbh. Even if I would be a millionaire I doubt it would change me. It would buy some extra time on this earth (WOW so fun :D) and less dealing with the government, sure, but it could never address the fundamental problem that is my perception of this world and how my brain hates being alive.

I'd save a portion for a more appealing ctb. The bulk, however, I would use to hit the road and visit several old haunts in the Southwest and Northwest of the country. Kooky roadside motels, gluttonous meals at truck stop diners, and enjoying thermal watering holes al fresco, when permissible. My version I guess of riding into the sunset.
