Just tried partial knot was secure I'm a big guy grabbed the rope wasn't moving seemed tight pulled with all my might to make sure stayed in place , Place my head in the loop after 10 seconds or so felt faint seeing colors pressure in my head but felt calm then just as I felt myself maybe drifting off into something else the nylon cord snapped and I cAme around I'm sick of this shit I was certain this was a way just sick of being rejected all the time despite best efforts and ironically there was a liqour store robbery 2 blocks away and they killed the owner about the same time I'm sure at this point it's all a joke and peace to the unfortunate man hope he has peace

After reading that, you didnt press your artieries right in your neck. Im saying that because when i did a tester I seen a blurry vision after 2/3 seconds. If you need to commit suicide but dont want partial hanging try the SN method.

Appreciate the feedback mate but I've a 19 inch circumference neck I'm a big guy I threw my whole body down 255 pounds and let it hang I've Medical experience held the rope above my Adam's apple and went for it but the nylon snapped either it was dodgy or just my mass and weight but I honestly felt I was there

It's not mate don't worry I had a short nylon rope and gave myself one of those 80s headbands to not make a mark on my neck pulled as tight as I could and I'm a rugby player and thought my weight would do the trick ,placed my head in the noose and let gravity play but I guess my mass ( or some force ) denied me it broke after 8-10 seconds , I did it off a pull up bar which apparently can hold 500 pounds

I hear you mate was certain this was it only thing I guess I can say is I threw my body mass too heavily I snapped a really thin cord or maybe it's just not meant to be I don't know mate but I did go somewhere seeing colors till I snapped the cord and came back

Did you use a rope designed to hold your weight? My mistake was that I used a tie which tore after I passed out for a bit. I've recently purchased a rope from a hardware store that is guaranteed to hold 200 lbs. Home Depot had a rope section with options up in the hundreds of lbs.

I bought a version of nylon which was supposed to hold anything advertised as a construction material but I did cut it down to size but it still seemed more then robust

No way Ashpac, you've been a great mod so far. It's not the easiest task to carry out, your pimp hands been strong but also fair and I think you do a super job of not hurting anyones feelings.

We will all miss you if and when you go. Hope you're not in too much of a hurry.

Oh and OP yea it sounds like you're really heavy, you might need a stronger rope or to be more gentle. If the rope is still long enough you could try a different position whereby more of your weight is distributed over the ground.

Yes lower yourself slowly and let gravity do the rest. I dropped quickly because I wanted to get it over with and I think that's how i weakened the tie so it didn't hold.

Yeah it's surprisingly difficult. Then I look at the recent celebrity suicides and they used a scarf, exercise band, belt closed in a door or hanging from a doorknob - they make it seem so easy.

I know mate don't mean to vent but it does piss me off where I live people get shot stabbed and murdered daily and I don't seem to meet any of these people I take it as a joke now

I think the problem was the rope since you said it snapped and you're a bigger person. Do you know the weight limit for that rope? Most have a weight max at least if you buy it somewhere like a hardware store or something. It'll say on the packaging.
