• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I like video essays that are made with great care to details even if the topic itself isn't interesting. So Polymatter, Wendover Productions. More Hannah is pleasant to watch. Nerdforge isn't video essays but its cool.

Drew Gooden, Shanspeare, My Mother's Basement, Chad Chad, and Lily Simpson

I also liked these two videos that got recommended to me recently

However, I don't plan on watching the rest of the stuff by Thought Bug due to her trying to defend Trisha Patysa and allegedly deleting comments that were critical of her video. I also didn't like how she addressed Trisha's racism and antisemitism and I don't get why would be defending someone who is also abusive towards their partner. Still, the video on how we discriminate against children as a society is a good one and she actually makes a lot of valid points in that video. Discrimination against children is something that needs to be talked about more.

I like this channel! It's a very specific topic, welsh history, but enjoyable.

This channel is a cat cafe in Osaka, Japan. They Livestream sometimes. The mix of train diorama and cat cafe is so clever. I love how they put the camera on the train. It makes me happy.

some of the most entertaining shit i've seen on yt. this guy basically travels overseas with the caveat of not paying for hotels. instead he does stealth camping in forests/parks and breaks petty vagrancy laws. dudes also funny as fuck to boot.

Scary Interesting – Scary and interesting stories from around the world, particularly ones involving tragic deaths.

The videos dive right into the meat of the story, chronologically told, and has great supporting/informational visuals. I like the Collection of Horrible Fates playlist the most because each video has a couple of shorter stories of great variety. There are also a lot of videos on incidents in dangerous environments such as cave system, mines, cold winter mountains, stranded on islands or in deserts, deep water accidents, etc.

Personally a fan of video essays and true crime. Emma Kenny spent years in child safeguarding and does a good job of breaking down her cases in 40minute to hour kong and above videos. Dreading is also interesting and relaxing, but pours over lots of "boring" trial coverage. if you're squesming of those subjects the Quinton Reviews foes really thorough media deep dives, I recommend any of his nickelodean or garfield series'.

Came here to recommend DougDoug. He has a few channels if you prefer highlights, clips, or full VODs. Incredibly creative streamer. His chat is hilarious.

This channel is literally a train wreck you can not look away from. Some of the stories gave me chills but they are very fascinating. Also never go cave diving.

I will throw in Black Box Down. It's a podcast that is unfortunately over but it breaks down airplane accidents. They talk about what happened moment by moment and what little details lead to each crash. They then go over what safety standards have been implemented as a result of each incident. After listening to these, I actually feel safer flying knowing how many redundancies and checklists are involved.
