Help What scares you?

I have started writing again after a long break. Some contacts have invited me to contribute short stories from the horror genre.
It would help SOOOOO much if anyone would tell me what kinds of things scare you the most. If anybody has any true stories, that would be fantastic.

I've been binging on scary content lately, and one of the things that scare me the most are creatures like the skinwalker or similar stuff, specially because almost every culture has their version of them.

I'm a skeptic, but the way some people describe them is absolutely terrifying. There's something about predatory creatures that try to imitate a human being that is so fundamentally scary, almost like a fear that has evolved with us.

i guess vampires are always good for horror stories, i like the russian version of it "Upyr", also spiders scare me the most (or anything with a lot of eyes and long legs)

Ending up paralyzed horrifies me. Unfortunately I don't know how you would incorporate this into your writing though.

My irrational fears are boats, cows, horses. Absolutely terrified of them, will not get on a boat or near cows and horses.
What's funnier about that, I'm from the south in the US.
I recently watched a movie about killer sheep so this reminded me of it.

my legs will tremble at heights. I may not be scared, but my body seems to be. my anxiety is even this way where it's my body reacting to a situation, but the thoughts don't match. kind of a ugh, this again.

Claustrophobia, tbh. The feeling that I'm stuck somewhere with no way out. The thought of being buried alive in particular is so terrifying to me that it makes my stomach turn.

Insects that eat you. The idea of a leech on me terrifies me, that Game of Thrones scene was not fun.

(I specifically picked an example that didn't have people stacked on top of each other screaming for help with nothing but agony and fear written on their faces )

At around 1:20, you can really see how all these human bodies cramped together begin to move like a liquid. That fucks with me so much!! Like you're not even an independent autonomous body anymore, just part of this giant uncontrollable lake of humans.

The only thing that ever really scared me was losing my family or being alone. Now I'm dealing with both of those fears.

I'm scared to write down my fear because what if it ends up happening. I'd blame myself for posting it here cause someone probably tracked me down and made it happen to cause me misery or whatever.
