Method What ligature is the best for partial hanging?

I've just been reading over the hanging suicide resources and i still dont know what is meant to make for the best ligature when doing partial hanging.

They advise against nylon rope, string and fishing wire and recommended neckties, so does that mean that neckties would work the best for this method?

If somebody could help then that would be greatly appreciated.

just get anything that can hold your weight.if your trying to find comfortable way of doing it you wont.

The thinner the ligature the more it is gonna bite into your neck and might cause pain. Anything that that can hold most of your weight can work. If u use sth really thin you can use some type of padding to make it not be as hurtful.

For reference, I am about 57kg, rougly 125lbs, and 12mm is too bulky for my neck. It takes way too much pressure to get the desired effect with this width, so I would def go with 10mm soft rope or even 8mm. I will be buying some bondage rope soon for comparison. Currently I have a double braided polyester rope in 10mm and 12mm. Anything that conforms to your neck without too much pressure and won't break will be ideal.
