As the title asks, I'm wondering if there's anything people enjoy or helps them be motivated that other people might find strange or silly.

I like to watch cartoons to help myself calm down, but I've been called childish and weird for doing so.

At this point, I don't care because it makes me feel better!

When I can't help leaving the house to go to public places, I like to look for a place to hide and sit on the floor to read or doodle, it may seem childish, but I don't give a damn.

I also like to read books or comics. My mom says that I look childish/silly because I don't spend my money on clothes, shoes, makeup and/or "women's stuff". I don't need this, just my books and games.

There's nothing wrong with the way you cope... No idea why your mother is would force that on you if you're already happy with what you're doing.

As far as I'm concerned, reading books and playing games are great ways to feel good.

My mother always wanted me to be the 'ideal' daughter. She sometimes tries to convince me to follow her dreams. For example: "Take a nursing course", "Take a computer course, working in an office makes a lot of money", "Don't you want to go to college? What do you want from this life?".

I don't know, but this is tiring because I don't hear that only from her. It seems that in adulthood we can only choose the path of money or failure. This is sad and boring.

Thank you for your kind words.

For me music. When I find a new song it gives me hope because I am picky with my music and it's a bit mood based

ASMR videos. I find them relaxing.
I'm still suicidal though.

Even when I'm happy and life is good I have suicidal thoughts it's like a lifestyle now because I've had it for so long.

Cooling your head or lowering the temperature works. I put ice/cold on my head and sometimes on my body and it works to reduce anhedonia and other problems.

Strangely, knowing that suicide is always an option makes things easier. I also find these forums to be calming.

Watching Harry Potter movies. It takes me back to a time when everything seemed to be pretty much fine.
