I don't have much knowledge on both. I don't drink alcohol and I don't like driving cars.
Due to some reports I have read I assume the beer is better than the cars.

The German car industry is kind of outdated. The future will probably be self-driving cars and driving with artifical intelligence. We are way behind on that. Tesla or Alphabet (Google) seem to have the best technology. If we compare stock value Tesla obliterates the German car companies. I think there are more strategical disadvantages the German cars have. I think there will be huge changements in the production of cars. Though I have forgotten the details.

Due to my education in American sitcoms and TV series I think German beer is quite good. Like luxury products. I never drank one. I don't like drugs and the calories of alcohol are quite insane. I think it is one of the best products we export into the world.

What do you think of it? Is this only a stereotype and German cars/beer are not that good?

Idk if I've ever had German beer (I am an American who used to drink a lot of beer)

tesla is overhyped, they are quick to bring features to market because they have lower standards for testing and safety compared to the rest of the auto industry, and do things differently for no good reason (I have been in a Tesla once and had no idea how to open the door either from the inside or the outside. I have been in hundreds of cars and none of them required an explanation on how to get in.) the stock is valued so highly because the market believes they will continue to grow. If I were comparing car companies I would look at how many cars they are selling, how many of them are EVs, are they able to deliver parts for repairs...

I used to have a German car and really liked it. I am not a VW/Audi person, BMWs are fun but I wouldn't want to own one... If I were buying luxury I'd look at Mercedes first, idk how their EVs are though.

I would say German beers. German cars are ok but nothing special, there are better cars nowadays.

The German industry is heavily based around the combustion engine due to its rich history dating back to Karl Benz in 1885. As such, it feels compelled to occupy a conservative stance regarding electrification. It has countless combustion engine specialist jobs at stake.

It is an opening for China, which is well advanced in this regard, to rise to the forefront.

German cars, especially those from 1980s and 1990s. Great to drive, pretty damn durable.

Absolutely,

Mercedes' philosophy used to be "One life - one car". Now it only takes you as far as the next junction before the electronic system locks the car up if it malfunctions and you have to bring out an auto repair shop in the middle of the road to service it.

Those cars were simply better "cars". Who would forget how tightly you could turn with a Mercedes W210 and the wheel circle for such a heavy car, those BMW 525's with doors so heavy you were done for if you had to push, or even the smell of mahogany seats on a '88 Audi 100? One step in the interior and you are smelling Made in Germany if it was a scent.

As for beer, yehwh. Same as Czech - over 300 varieties yet very few worth it. I'd take a Guinness over any of them.

German beer. I lived off beer and sausage when I visited Germany. Love a good beer garden.

Without having driven a German car, I would say they win. German beers taste skunky. I'm not the only one who thinks so either. A bartender described them the exact same way. It may be an unpopular opinion, but I think the Brits have them beat.
