I've been looking into overdosing because even though it's most definitely not the method I would choose, there's a lot of articles and research to deep dive into. In my web browsing, I came across many hypotheticals proposed about dying painfully from liver failure. It just got me wondering, if someone overdoses from something like acetaminophen what happens if they're past the point of treatment? If the only feasible options left are transplants. Are they allowed to ask for end of life treatment or do hospitals just try to make them as comfortable as possible once they're too far gone?

That's an interesting point. I'm not sure myself. I'll check back in on the thread and see others answers

I do not think so. It may eventually depend where you live.

ב''ה,

Anecdotally, this is not the answer you're looking for and I'm not sure I should be sharing it, but nothing is probably not the answer either you or I was expecting, if probably the least unpleasant outcome, though in retrospect.. would that it was a success.

Anyway, a solid 15 grams (edit: did the math, 30?) of what was sold as brand name Tylenol, had some concerns the next morning after, let's say, a 'was this really all there was to life?' sort of night, laid in bed for a week as life was allowing at the time, and not even a stomachache. Probably 2 or 3 days in I shrugged and started doing some 'liver healthy' supplements on the basis that nothing was happening and permanent liver damage with no other effect would have been annoying.

Seriously, I have no idea, there's some more bizarre aspects to all that, yet I kept the empty bottles as long as I could just for the "yeah, that happened" proof of it.

I am left wondering, had I been as relieved of all skepticism that life could not be worth living as I now am, would anything have gone differently?

So y'all get as weird and unbelievable a story as that was out of it, but, do not recommend bothering, ultimately inexplicably did not experience the suffering from that only to experience other kinds instead. But, no jaundice, barely some weird poops.

I can't recommend tempting fate this way yet I don't know if it's that overblown, I've got an extra liver, a handful of milk thistle is enough (improbable).. well, either it's a waste of time and money or it's a waste of time and money and maybe some folks do get partial or complete liver failure out of it.

It's actually annoying to be left so skeptical because I really don't know if I should laugh off anyone else doing such as getting pranked by media and doctors, or if I had a uniquely unusual nothingburger of an experience, with a grudging and unpleasant "religious" moment the night I gobbled them down where perhaps I shouldn't have listened to any "maybe that was stupid, maybe it's time to pray on it even if it was probably the right choice" as ended up being a years-long lesson in false hope and why not to be confused on certain religious nuances with Judaism and whatever else pretends a connection to it.

Anyway, would not recommend because it didn't work. Were the more esoteric elements just "Tylenol trippin'?" If so it's at least notionally dangerous and was not pleasant despite lack of physical effects so save your time on that point as well.
