I'm considering using a Desert Eagle, because I know that the power in that type of a gun would ensure a 100% fatality. Yet, I've heard that the Desert Eagle is heavier than the average gun. The extra weight could negatively affect someone's grip on the gun, which would decrease the accuracy of the shot & lead to a chance of survival.

So which (if any) gun would you guys recommend?

If you have a 50 cal Desert Eagle, it's going to be hard to screw up.

You really need to read through the forums to get an idea of where you need to aim.

You don't need anything else, as a 50 caliber weapon is more than enough, however you don't want to simply blow your face off like some people have done even with a shotgun.

Keep in mind that trauma surgeons have become extremely good at their jobs. I have a childhood friend who became a gangbanger and was shot 12 times, two of those being in the head. He is still alive to this day.

I would suggest spending some time to get things right - including how likely you are to be swiftly rushed to the hospital.

imo a contact head shot is much more lethal than from a distance. more energy and hot gasses go into the brain. imo very difficult to survive a contact head shot behind the ear or slightly above ear or in mouth especially from a more powerful handgun, shotgun or rifle. desert eagle is a powerful handgun

Hello, gunsmith here :)

If you have Deagle in .50 or .44 it's basically almost impossible to screw it up. If you have baby Eagle in 9 mm, it is still enough power to be sure from point blank. I do not think the weight would be a problem, if you do not plan to hold it for long minutes. Choose the right ammunition, thou. No! AP rounds, better hollow point than FMJ. But still, FMJ in this caliber with extreme power Deagle offers... if target survive, it will be considered miracle.
If you are not comfortable with weight of a gun, go with something lighter. As mentioned, 9mil will be okay if you use right ammunition. You definitely want supersonic. Look for hollow point, do some research and go for ammunition which can cause most trauma to tissues. These ammunition is often used against non-armored targets. Widely used in self defense since you don't want bullet to continue in it's path after hitting the body of attacker and at the same time you want to be fairly sure the attacker will be eliminated (doesn't mean killed necessarily when you are not pointing at head or vital organs).
This kind of bullet can cause extreme damage after hitting hard part of body. It will easily penetrate the skull, but after the contact with bone it will change its shape drastically and expand, leading to creation of multiple wound channels. Result will be brain porridge. Combined with gases released from barrel which will enter the wound channel since you are shooting from point blank it is nearly impossible to do "something wrong."

All in all, choose right ammunition and you will be ok. Or you will not be ok. Depends on how you look at it :D
Would like to share some links to the ammunition but it is banned. And I do not want to be accused of assisting in suicide since it is illegal in most countries.
