What else is there in life?

There is a lot more to life depending on how you want to look at it. Some people look at life as a journey because sure we might not impact people 100 years from now but why do people replay video games or rewatch movies?

Other people see life as an opportunity to make other people feel better even when they don't. This obviously isn't the most common perspective but it still exists.

A lot of people don't even care about what's in life they can simply enjoy life with the people that come and go. That's why people in poverty can be okay with it because they are surrounded by people they care about so it brings them joy.

I know this might have came off as pro life but it's not intended to be that way. I fully support people who want to ctb as I plan to do it myself. We just have to be open minded and look at other peoples perspectives.

What else is there in life?

These are the things that are constantly encouraged to pursue but they are the things of this world, but will never make us feel whole or without the void. This is where God comes in. Why people need to understand how we are supposed to live, because when we live for the wrong things in life, it leads to our destruction or the destruction of others. In the Bible it talks about how the rich people will have a harder time getting into the kingdom, because they can buy their comforts, buy their way out of any problem or crisis, so they don't need to rely on God to help them. I think money is a tool of Satan but unfortunately we are forced to use it to live.

Deprivation. Life is a psycho going from states of intense deprivation to momentary satisfactions; life is the experience of painful thirsts, needs, urges, cravings and desires that need constant fulfillment. Authentic human relationships, cuddles love, and venturing into Wanderlust in the pursuit of happiness, freedom, liberty.

But when one is denied for what one longs for so long because life is unfair and a state of deprivations for momentary gratification and the painful appetite for it all in the end makes life bitter. And sour, if not spoiled.

Who do you think wrote the bible? Rich or poor people? Bearing in mind poor people probably wouldn't know how to read or write... Ok- if those words definitely came from God but- what's not to say the rich people were telling the poor to be content with their miserable lives? Feel privelaged in fact to suffer because their reward would come in heaven? It's easier to control the masses if they are content with their lot. If they don't question...

I'm really annoyed that I can't find the YouTube video now but I once watched a lecturer say that the idea of suicide as sinful came about at a very specific time. When labourers in the fields were being told that their back breaking work would be rewarded in heaven. So- many decided to take the short cut and kill themselves. Supposedly- it was in response to that that suicide suddenly became a sin and suicides would go to hell.

I'm not saying that religion is all bad. It likely has many worthwhile lessons in it but honestly- I think all of us do need to question whether the stuff we read is the word of God. A period of 40 years spans between Jesus dieing and the creation of the first gospel. How's your memory on something someone else heard someone say 40 years ago?

I guess there's the old testament to go from... I have to confess I'm not that knowledegable but isn't the God in the old testament far more severe than in the new one? So- doesn't that suggest our vision of God is based on trends? I'd argue that God is more lenient these days because faith is a business- like everything else. It needs customers. And people don't really go for the fire and brimstone thing so much now. But then- if faith can bend- then it isn't the word of God anymore- it's an interpretation. Which is problematic- when you consider who is doing the interpreting. That's evidenced by extremism where people convince others that their God wants them to kill people. But it has a more subtle influence than that. It shapes how we view people and how we should live our lives. Who is really making the rules though? God or those in power?

Having said all that though- I absolutely agree. I think money is deeply problematic in our world. I'm not really sure what the solution is though. Seeing as we don't have anyone alive today that can turn one fish and one loaf of bread into 1000's. Most of us are stuck in the system. I guess we could go and live off grid. Maybe we can adjust our thinking so that we aren't so obsessed with money and status. Money is still a problem when you don't have enough of it though...

Sorry to have a go. I guess I just have problems with orthodox religion as well as capitalism/consummerism!

Why would God create our environment, us and the literal embodiment of evil, then turn around tell us to worship him or he will allow his created being of evil to torture us. "Love me or die" says God. Sounds narcissistic and childish to me.

Look at the story of Job. God allowed the abuse of Job solely because he was positive Job was one of his most faithful followers. And Job, like a good little Stockholm syndrome follower, stuck with it despite being mistreated.

I have heard other Christians say it is our choice. He just allows bad things to happen when we don't follow him. They just neglect the whole idea that God created evil and allows it to happen. Again, childish and uncalled for.

An example of me not obeying or knowing God is, I lost all my unborn children to abortion due to my promiscuity and misuse of sex outside of a commitment in a stable union with a responsible man. I do suffer the pain of and losing my children even tho I never knew them. This is one way I was tricked by Satan and was not even aware that this entity is real. He used my weakness and my fears to destroy my future family. Satan seeks to kill, steal, and destroy. There will be a time where the remainder of people left on the earth will have to worship Satan to be able to buy and sell but we aren't quite there yet. It seems to be getting closer to that time. But any Christians are supposed to be removed from here b4 the mark of the beast system is implemented.

God knew u would be raped but was not allowing u to be raped. Your grandfather was most likely possessed by demonic spirit. I'm really sorry u went through this I was also a victim of childhood sexual abuse but it was less physically extreme. It did serious damage to my ability to trust people and feel safe in the world though. I developed a damaged worldview. I did get ptsd symptoms after the sexual abuse but I didn't know what it was then. I believe God sent Jesus because he couldn't stop Satan and Jesus was the way he could intervene to get as many of us saved to be able to go to his kingdom before this world turns extremely hostile and Satan gets total domination over us.
