But being human is the worst fate of all. Insect does not have suicidal ideations, mental traumas, existential crises; They don't need to deal with ridiculous pressure from society to be beautiful, have a good job, date. Theyr not conscious enough to perceive suffering on the same level as us.

None of us can ever be 100% sure, only after we die we will find out. I do hope thought that there in fact is nothing. I would not want to be stuck neither in hell nor heaven or whatever forever.
Not sure about reincarnation, I don't think I would care since I would have no memories about previous life and I would start over. I mean... Listen... Exit always is an option if I would get another shitty life

I very strongly believe we simply cease existing, once we lose consciousness that is it for us, we are gone. Death is nothing more than a dreamless and eternal sleep, which is all I wish for and is all that comforts me, only nothingness is desirable. I envy those who die as now they are eternally incapable of suffering.

Buddhist view of rebirth

I kind of hope that the answer is not rebirth. If reincarnation occurs it seems likely that suicide will result in less than favourable conditions. It doesn't seem to be random, but instead based on the karma (good or bad) that one has accrued through many lives.

Suicide itself is deemed a negative karma so the result will be a life with net equal suffering as this one with only the added negative karma accrued by suicide itself.

Thus "re-rolling the dice" via suicide is bound to result in nearly equal, but potentially marginally worse condition. If we take the Buddhists' perspective for face value.

I hope the void exists because that would be far simpler...

I'm sure in this case we are like ants to humans in comparison. In which case, there's no point worrying about it.

I don't believe in God and other Names.
My dishes will return to Earth.
And I will still be in the mind of people who will think of me.

But in reincarnation, don't we lose our memories? There's also no way you can be an insect and have the same awareness as when you were human, because your brain would be different. Unless you are reincarnated on another planet where insect like creatures have brains similar as us, but without your human memories you wouldnt mind being a insect.


Thinking about it, imagine if you remember your past lives and discover that you were an insect? you would feel disgusted being a human lol

theres my "delusion" that i will return to my home universe that i was transplanted from when aliens abducted me at 7 yrs old and this universe will cease to know i existed in it. but in "the real world" (lol) i believe in reincarnation and so i would go to the next life. maybe in that life i would be able to regain my past life memories of like in this life, but im okay with it if not. my husband and sister would be absolutely obliterated, and i can only hope they would be able to move on. i dont care about what happens to my body or my things once im gone since i wont be around.
