The world will probably keep finding different ways to suck but hey, there will probably be at least some cool movies, shows, or games in the next 15 years.

Me too.

I think life will be terrible. Every place will be very crowded. Housing prices will be very high, and there will be many more homeless people. Capitalism, due to its nature, will have concentrated even more wealth into fewer hands (no, I'm not a socialist/communist. But capitalism concentrates wealth, while socialism/communism are designed (but fail) to distribute wealth). In many places, fresh water will be hard to come by. I don't think food will be scarce, but I think what we eat will be different - probably lots of corn and soy products. I believe many more species will be extinct. I'm sure pandemics will become the norm, and I wouldn't be surprised if a few more along the lines of Covid come along in the next 14 years.

The rich will be richer. The poorer will be poorer. The paying back of finances of this pandemic will take years across the world.

My thing for me anyway is that by the time we all have this pandemic debt paid off we'll be dead anyway. Why wait until then.

More surveillance
Cash will be gone
You never really own things, like buying a house, apartment or car
Vaccines will be mandatory for Flu, Covid 19-34, Cold and every other shit - Masks will never go away (except for the super rich and politicans)
Free Speech like now will be gone for many years, we are already heading this way. Like now its possible to lose your job in germany if you are a lawyer, policeman, doctor for example if you dont follow Supreme Leader Merkels opinion. This will happen to the normal workers too.
Governments are allowed to track you, over your phone for any reason.
CTB will be made even harder.

It won't be much different in most parts of the world. We may have some new technologies but that's about it. What has changed since 2005? Some things but overall life is the same. Remember the movies that predicted we'd have flying cars and all sorts of futuristic technology by now?

Most people don't even have electric cars. They can't afford them. The U.K. wants to ban petrol and diesel cars by 2030 without any plans in place. We have no electric car infrastructure. Our roads are in a state and full of potholes. Parts of the country are third world like. Our government squanders all of our money on all sorts of rubbish except for infrastructure. Life here will be worse in 15 years.

They also say we'll have driverless cars by then. There is no way that is going to happen outside of maybe California or a few other rich places.

more people will be in poverty. More will die of starvation. There will be more pandemics.. that's all really. Not a lot to look forward to.

Yah, like, the cell phones we all have and take for granted are 1000 times more advanced than the communicators on Star Trek were.

I believe that life essentially will be the same as today, but with a couple of important differences. By then the shortage of food due to climate change, flooding, desertification, and erosion, as well as some strategic metals and minerals will probably be obvious. China will have the largest economy in the world and perhaps also the largest military. Possibly, there will have been a blood fever pandemic of some kind, with a fairly substantial reduction of the population in dozens of countries.

I'd like to add that we have a hint of the beginning of asteroid mining. The same will apply to the moon.
I think humanity will survive itself long enough to figure out interstellar travel.

edit: I do think humanity will experience nuclear conflict before then though. interregnum achieved.

I don't believe interstellar travel will ever be possible. We have this solar system. That's it.

Many countries outside of the rich world will become total failed states. I'm not talking like some of these african countries now that just magically continue to grow their population by living on a low calorie diet and getting foreign aid: The countries will still exist on paper but their people are going to starve and populations begin to fall. There are going to be mini iraqs everywhere, in these countries the resources will be looted by the multinationals and the locals will live in a war zone/hellscape. The US and the other rich countries will reshore their manufacturing due to labor cost no longer being a significant component. I don't think we are going to see technology fundamentally advance, we're 30 years or so into the internet now and the best we are getting is 5G - they can't even perfect the self driving car. Climate hell is really going to be ramping up around this time. Renewable penetration of the grid will continue to be low or middling in most countries. Politically I see both the west and china becoming increasingly dysfunctional with potential for very serious unrest in both. Japan is going to have a currency crisis, a major pension reform, or they are going to open up to Immivasion which is going to suck as one of the last places on earth to find calm where population drops every year could go into reverse.

Its a guarantee as the climate is in a runaway state. There is no stopping it now and its probably been in runaway for decades. If you have property located in a hurricane zone or in an area at risk for desertification/wildfires you need to sell now. Its going to get very serious and very fast. A time is coming where your equity is going to be gone with no chance of recovery in some of these places

I'd definitely be scared of this if I wasn't getting out of here sooner. It's so scary how hot it was the last couple years...even here in Central Europe.

Our new mutated feline overlords will rule us with an iron paw whilst a rag tag group of plucky human survivors fight back against the catpocalypse.
Meanwhile, those with the biggest trousers will have decamped to Mars where they will all die out due to a disease contracted from a dirty telephone.
And of course, the aliens in orbit will get bored of waiting for us to grow up and behave and decide to destroy life on earth to make way for a huge alien Starbucks.

Seriously though, not good. Bigger wealth gradient, more poverty, more observed and controlled society, less resources, burgeoning population self-limiting with much more disease, massive species extinction and environmental collapse, some really cool things on Netflix, Donald Trump as president.

Hm, well, I'd like to say it'd be better, but we all know that won't be the case.

In truth the pollution will probably be at its all high. There will be more homeless people in the streets then there are in houses, all of them to which will probably be close to starving. The economy will probably be completely broken, as well as the legal system. The people who are living in houses will be brainwashed with how perfect the world is, and more than likely they would probably find a way to drug everybody up to see only sunshines and not the true horror of the world.

This is a little dark...I apologize

More of the same, except everything is worse. More unemployment, more homelessness, more poverty but hey at least guys like Bezos made another trillion dollars in a few hours while people die on the streets. Plenty of riots to be had, plenty of violence from all parties. Oh and the climates gotten even worse. And that's if we haven't already nuked ourselves to oblivion first.
