I thought about death and the discussion about what comes next.
I don't think much happens, your brain is just an organ and when it's dead, it just doesn't work like a machine anymore. There is no soul, everything only takes place in your head.
In principle, there is no difference between machine, animal or human in the aspect of death or what comes after. You pull the plug and what happens to the machine?
It goes out, it just doesn't have electricity anymore.
Of course, people and animals have feelings and all that, but when they die, they are all the same. Have you ever heard of a animal heaven or hell?
Neither do I.
God and heaven or hell is just a construct to keep people in line and to pay your money to the church or to give your blood for any other ideals. There is no faith for animals because they are just too stupid to invent a faith or believe, that's just the logical answer.
People are so smart and uncertain about death that they invent a God and faith or invent one to scare people, because I mean death is uncertain and everyone is afraid of it.
Have you ever heard about the people who almost died and saw something, something godly kind?
All those who have almost died and talk about these experiences are either weird or everyone tells a different story.
Why should everyone have a different end and see something different when everyone has the same god? I'm talking about Christians right now.
Have you ever asked a person without eyes what they see? You think they see black but how does she want to see black when there are no eyes. This is what death looks like. You can't see it, you cant touch it, but you don't notice it either.
It's like you're sleeping, you don't notice anything, but that's forever.

no doubt when you die your lights go out everything of you erased from existsance itself decay into nothingness
how does one find themselves in a death trap with only one way out without any possible way back from the void
of nothingness, but then again how did i end up here in the first place if in fact i don't really exist
death and rebith or nothing forever

Yeah- I've thought about the animal perspective too with regards to heaven.

Isn't one of the critera for entry that you accept Jesus as your saviour? I mean- I don't know but I doubt that my goldfish believed in God. I doubt they thought about it a great deal.

Plus- how would they judge sin in the animal kingdom? If you don't realise you're doing something forbidden- is it wrong? Plenty of 'sin' goes on in the animal kingdom according to religious law.

I'm a bit on the fence with regards to spirituality- I just REALLY don't know. Still- I feel like the likelihood is- our notion of soul is developed in our brains and when it dies- the 'soul' does too.

Of course I believe that we just cease to exist once we die and we don't even have the awareness of the fact that we are dead. There is simply nothing. All that life is, is just a meaningless and insignificant concept which is just a consequence of evolution. There is nothing spiritual about life in any way and any afterlife theories or anything religious is simply fictional. Some people attach meaning and value to something so useless as life as the true purposeless nature of existence is too difficult for them to come to terms with, they cannot accept the fact that they exist for no reason, all for nothing. All existing beings are destined to deteriorate and then just inevitably die and the thought of permanently not existing is so incredibly appealing to me, I mean there is nothing more ideal.

I had a near death expirence fairly early on. I was going through different levels of the spirit world, the expirence was so realistic and i saw things i could not have possibly been aware of (conversations between family members/friends happening continents away from me that turned out to actually happen) I don't believe nothing happens. Based on some of the other things i saw choice based reincarnation aolso seems to exist. Yes i believe we chose to incarnate.

After death is the same as before birth . Reality can be trusted.
Don't worry, hominids are not in charge after death (but they'll make money toruring the body until one leaves it).

For me, I hope it is reincarnation.

If something can happen once it can happen again given enough time. The big bang happened once so it will happen again since the universe is eternal so infinite time. The same big bang will happen after a very long time and then everything will play out the same and your exact brain will be created and so you will be aware again. It would feel like the first time again, just like it did this life because you will have no memory. Its eternal hell. Happy new year everyone!

I don't believe in materialism. Just because a consciousness happens to be related in some fashion to the brain does not mean that the brain created that consciousness or is that consciousness. I believe that the consciousness is transported elsewhere to a higher spiritual realm the frequency of which we can't tap into.

One possibility I have heard about might be true. Your soul keeps on livi9ng evn though your body dies and you get life review. Then you hang out in a place that is considered to be your real home for a while, and you feel a lot of love there. TRhen at some point you may go to a place where you and some other beings decide on what your next life will be and you are reincarnated. If this is true I can'y imagine why I would have chosen a life like this, maybe it is a punishment for something I did earlier, or maybe it was bad luck- there seems to be some elemets of chance and of free wqill. I was close to gettinjg this loife to work a few times but it didn't work out- I overcame some elements of the abuse but not enough of them in time. I know how I could redo things to get this life to work out, but the one thing I really need- a time machine- I don't have.

hardships in life make the spirit grow.
That works in some cases, but in some cases this doesn't work out. About one percent of the world's population eventually leaves by ctb, plus at least 20,000 starve to death each day, so this doesn'6t always work out.

I've been thinking about this a lot today and it's such a mindfuck. To know that i will never truly know what comes after death until it actually happens. I HATE not being able to understand what comes next. I want to know and be fucking enlightened because i cannot wrap my brain around the concept of what will/won't i turn into after i die. Like where do i fucking GO.

not saying it works 100% of the time, spirit is not all knowing sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it becomes to much and people do kill themselves, there's nothing wrong with that from spirits point of view.

its lovely to know you'll finally cease to exist. when you die, you'll be gone... finally. you don't have to suffer anymore. but what hurts to know (if reincarnation does exist) you'll lose all your memories. i've realized that memories are the most precious thing to lose. you could say you don't have pleasant memories.. but you do. it couldn't be an event, it could be a taste of something nice, refreshing feeling of drinking water, that feeling after taking a bath.. just little things. small pleasant feelings are good memories, and they'll be gone when you die. they'll be forgotten when you die. it only exists with you and your mind. it'll be gone forever after you pass.

Preparing for the worst means learning how to deal with suffering. Once you learn that, you've learned all this life has to offer. Everything else here is distractions. Pleasure needs no system to deal with so chasing it is a waste of time, but suffering sure does. Once you learn how to walk through hell and still smile, you are ready.

Abandon All Hope

I don't believe in any specific religion but I do believe there is a spiritual world and afterlife. This one psychic medium that I have been researching Matt Frasher seems pretty legit and he's giving testimonies and helped people connect with their departed loved ones.

If it's science that you are speaking in terms with, energy cannot be destroyed only transferred so when we die it is a transformation of our souls to the afterlife leaving the physical world. There have been lots of proof on the afterlife so I'm sticking with that because good people definitely deserve their heaven and salvation after going through hell in the physical world. Lots of cases of people thinking their in a dark void forever and then go to heaven.

Honestly the thought of non existence terrifies me and I have serious doubts about it. I simply do not believe in it.

I want to be reunited with my cats. IDK I will literally fight anyone and anything to get to them.

Honestly I am not very spiritual but I do believe it exists. Remember, humans get so lost and delusional by the mundane world that we don't pay too much attention to the spiritual side. Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it doesn't exist

I'm not sure why people would prefer non existence a dark lonely void over eternal peace since that is literally what we all want?

All I'm saying is I better get my fucking heaven.

I hope I find eternal peace. The void.
I'm tired of being conscious. I don't recall finding non-existence so bad. Being awake and aware in this World is misery.

My thoughts is that we return to the void and everything becomes nothingness. Our lives become a memory for the living and eventually that all fades away and then we truly become insignificant like all the others who came before us.

We add so much value to our lives as a way of coping. We think we are created in the image of a God...or we are spiritual beings. Conditioned to believe in ancient fairy tales. Nah.

Truly hope reincarnation. Me and everything that is me will cease to be, but I like to believe in whatever a thing called a soul could be and I hope that it lands somewhere peaceful and happy and BY GOD! By fucking god I do not want to come back to this planet

Thoughts on death: 100 billion people have lived and died already. What's the worst that could happen?

Thoughts on afterlife: I'm expecting nothing but oblivion, but I'm hoping for at least some explanation for this giant clusterfuck before the abyss takes me.

I believe that there's something, some kind of other world/dimension where we go after we die. Maybe back to the collective subconcisious or whatever it's called, but in all seriousness, I don't give a damn as long as there's nothing, or I get to see my friend again.

And another thing, if there really is judgement, I think what happens is that some kind of authoritive figure or entity will be in charge. However, they are not the one to judge. You are, because there's so many views and eras in this world, people's opinions have changed. For example, if the bible is right, all lgbt people should probably go to hell because...the book said so. But apperantly the god's standards changed overtime with the humans? Which wouldn't make sense if it's real. So I believe if there really is judgement. (which I don't think will be) You decide if you are a good person or a bad person, and whoever is in charge is only there to make sure the judgement runs well and you are being true to yourself.
(Also, I thought animals went to heaven by default or something?)

As I know, before dying some people see their dead loved ones, like an illusion or a vision, sometimes it's something else but often it's loved ones, humans and pets. I personally don't think it means there's the afterlife, but I find it interesting. It happens at least when there's time for a body to shut down and go through the process of dying "naturally", but we don't know what people see and feel when they die fast accidentally, so... there's not enough data definitely.
I personally hope and believe there's nothing. A body just dies and decays, and its atoms become a part of something else since it can't just disappear completely(right?). We don't have a functioning brain and consciousness at that point so it doesn't feel like anything.

I HOPE.
If it's not a perfect world where things are controllable and conflicts, pain and sufferings aren't necessary, I don't want it, huh

Who knows. But what I do hope it is, is that this life is nothing but a simulation/experiment that the real me chose to participate in out of curiosity, boredom, or whatever it may be - and that once I'm dead, I'll regain my real memories and identity and go back to living in the one true reality, which is much more joyful and pleasant than this fake one.
