As more and more of the supplies arrive and I'm thinking about using this method over hanging I was wondering what I could take to try and mask the taste. I know that it is best to take the SN with room temperature water but what can I take after that to try to get the taste out of my mouth while not effecting the SN?

I was thinking Nyquil to help me go to sleep faster, and it has a nice sweet taste.

I think I remember reading here someone suggested taking a small bite of chocolate to kill the SN taste. But I'm not sure if it's effects on SN or about anything really so don't quote me on this.

Why not just put whatever it is you want jn ur mouth and gargle it then spit it back out. It will clean ur palette without swallowing anything

Vitamin C is an antidote to SN so I'd definitely avoid anything with significant quantities of it. Stomach acid levels are important to SN so I'd try to avoid anything that would affect them.

I believe SN does its thing well in a low-acid stomach, so maybe some antacids would be good, if I thought they tasted better than the SN.

Would mint gum or a dab of toothpaste on the tongue be OK?

So I assume coffee is a no no right?

Fasting is difficult for me due to my health issues, though regular salt in water can help a little (I guess by boosting 'adrenal' function). Would there be any issue with taking plain salt in water a few hours before SN?

Technically that's not true.

There is not really anything that you can eat or drink that will convert the SN into a less lethal compound. I guess some people have said not to put anything else in your stomach that would slow the process down. So you can drink what you want, eat what you want. Just that you may increase likelihood of vomiting or just slow the absorption of SN into your system.

Why would food increase vomiting risk?

It's down to each individuals constitution really and how you deal with nausea. Only you as an individual can assess if you have a strong stomach or not. If you have a weak stomach it would be wise to fast, because if you are sick after drinking SN at least you can assess what has come up.. Either all, some or none of the SN drink. Having food in your stomach might confuse that estimate as it will all be mixed up.

What Stan said. plus, I ´ve read that fruitjuices are no good , they mess up the acid level in your stomach , increasing the chance of vomiting. There was actually a user who swallowed it down with OJ, can´t remember her name but she spat it all out and survived and shared that.
also , alcohol is a no no, being acid and irritating your stomach lining.

Although it was once recommended to mix with SN on this board.

That was to double dose on two different things that produce Methemoglobin. Bit of an overkill for sure if you excuse the pun

Does drinking lots of plain water on an empty stomach increase the chance of vomiting?

Don't see why.
The water doesn't even stay for too long on the stomach.

I think over researching is great! I have done it, everyone should know what to do and how to do it and reasonably understand what to expect. There is a thing though when you overthink things though. Everyone knows themselves better than anyone else. I personally would not get too concerned about the stomach acid as it is a nice to have imho.

I liked your "a young woman chugged a glass of it down this week w/ no overthink" comment elsewhere in this website.

However, I live with my parents and I'm ingesting SN at night. I don't wanna get found out. (i.e. while I'm trashing and convulsing post knock out)

If I remember her story correctly, she was in a similar living situation as you. she had a meal with her family and then just went for it. Not saying that is what you should do, but just trying to highlight it is not some magical spell that you have to be absolutely precise with.

I did look into it the last time you mentioned it. Reports like 'after 24 hours, blood became normal' are a tad suspect because the the body's natural cleansing process was not factored in. It is classed as an alternative but does not state what dose it required and does indicate in the document that its somewhat good for 'light poisoning' (where methomegloblin is under 30%) rather than the bombardment we are doing going for over 70%. So I know that a lot of accidental poisonings happen on farms where they drink water from a well and they can naturally have nitrites occurring in them, I guess in a local surgery miles away from a hospital it would be considered a treatment. But for what we are doing and the quantity we are taking, I would not be concerned.

Still, it may interfere with the process. That's how I understood @Erin Inari's question.

It's a good thing to advise caution, but again, another thing that people will get hung up upon. If the dose to resolve it was a 100 times the daily recommended intake of vitamin C then no problem. Maybe you could investigate what the dose is and compare it to what people normally ingest a day if they eat healthily. I think that way it would be understood if it was a concern or not.
