The house fills with smoke and/or starts on fire.
I do believe you light it up in an open area and wait for the fire to die down and the coals are doing the work at that point.

i don't think i'm going to die intoxicated much faster than i think. I also think that the house will not catch fire .

There was a member, time ago, he did a charcoal fire inside his car and he burned the seat.
And to put paper onto the bathtub, I do not know if that will be a good idea.
Be careful.

Burning indoors is going to cause smoke damage to the walls and other parts of the room. Also, you want to breathe carbon dioxide, not the smoke, which will irritate eyes, mucus membranes, and lungs. From what I understand, more CO is released after burning charcoals than during, so if you have no choice but to burn indoors, then do it in a different room than the one in which you plan to ctb, However, if it's in an apartment, there's a chance neighbors will smell smoke. It's just not a good idea to burn indoors.

Yes, I thought about it.

Hey,
Cooking "шашлык" is not the same as dying from CO.
When you start a fire in a closed area, you won't be able to be there more than a few minutes. Smoke is irritating everything that it can irritate so the fire should be started outside prior to CTB (I mean burning the coals until they are gray). When you are in the room full of smoke, you won't make it. Bad cough, sore eyes and cursing the method which did not work.

May I ask..:Why coal?......it will take longer time than charcoal.
I think the type of coal does not matter, what matters is that you get intoxicated .

What if I take sleeping pills? while I sleep I automatically inhale the carbon until I die.

@LucasG Noway, you won't be able to fall asleep under such circumstances, this is too painful to fall asleep.
Try to light a cigarette and see what happens when the smoke goes directly in your eyes, then you will understand what I mean.

It is true, and I acknowledge that I have not one single logical answer, but I only know successful cases using charcoal.
