When I was a little boy I always wanted to live in the US. I was pretty uneducated and watched a lot of US TV shows. Everything in the US seemed to be bigger, faster, louder, more thrilling. There were ads for the superbowl finale on German TV. In Germany most people only hear about the finale with the infamous halftime show. I loved junk food and ate it a lot. I was quite obese and thought maybe I am more accepted in the US and not bullied all of the time for it. Lol.

I think most of that were myths. I was young and naive. I never dreamed to become a millionaire. I didn't believe in the American dream. You hear too negative stuff about how Americans have to make debts to finance college.

Now as an adult with 7 clinic stays in the last year I know. WIth 18 I would have been bankrupt and with 21 in debts probably on the streets. I am so glad I wasn't born in the US. The capitalism in Germany sucks. But in the US it is so much worse if you are poor. In Germany many outlets describe the US welfare system as inhuman. Alleged "welfare queens" are the scapegoats for literally everything. And all of the media outlets spread billionaire propaganda. It is also bad in Germany. The corruption is more subtle though. In Germany the politicians often directly switch from office into the private economy. Or vice versa. Just like Friedrich Merz the blackrock guy. There is an Americanization of German politics and I see this very critically.

Actually, the superbowl is sort of perverted. In Germany (I am not sure if they still exist) there are TV shows where they show the most popular ads of the superbowl. The shows are no indepedent productions. Hence the ads are pretty old and outdated. They just buy the show from the US with an halfass German commentator. There are people who say the best thing about the superbowl were the ads. In Germany many complain that the streaming services don't show the original ads. This is something only possible in America. A sports event where ads are the biggest thing of all. And the celebrity culture in the US is so stupid. The celebrity culture in Germany is stupid too. But they are not that prominent. It seems that many entertainment formats are shallow and opium of the people. Everything is biggest and faster in the US but it is often only an allusion. The game is rigged for the top 1%. In America some people are proud that their country has the most billionaires. I would be angry about it instead. As a child I liked TV shows where people could win money with knowledge. And often knowledge about celebritites were crucial. Now as an adult I consider such knowledge a huge waste of time. The celebrity culture is so unnecessary and you live way better without it. Many of them even belong to the Epstein class. I will end it here.
