Welfare Check in Canada - where did my OPSEC go wrong?

Hey all, so I'm in Canada and I just received my second welfare check in a year. I'm trying to figure out if anyone has ideas on what triggered it.

Here's a little synopsis of my situation:

- Began researching suicide methods in 2022 with no VPN, but using incognito mode. No ordering, no registering for any forums.

- Began lurking here in 2023, the only thing I MAY have downloaded is the PPeH to my safari/iPhone.

- Last/Early this year, signed up for SS (again, rawdogging it with no VPN) [also, I don't believe SS allowed registration with VPN]. Used a proton burner email and a username that's unrelated to any of my irl accounts.

- this is when I got serious about my plans so downloaded a VPN, only accessed via "green" laptop (that wouldn't have suspicious traffic without VPN)

- Purchased SN through DMC's telegram when he was dealing with domain seizures, etc. used vpn, although a free iPhone one. Worth noting I tried on the original DMC site, but messaged him on WhatsApp to delete the order as I had an unexpected roommate move in. This was 6-7 weeks before I ordered on tg

- On my iPhone, without VPN, id research the news articles as the crackdowns happened, but would never log into SS on my phone. No downloads, no forum posts.
Also did research on curing salts, made a few ratio charts, and more.

- Received a welfare check mid-this-year, assuming as a part of the Interpol/DMC case. I was prepared and had even ordered a meat curing cookbook, printed recipes for curing salts, etc. Coincidentally had pork chops on the smoker so it helped. Cops asked about my welfare and I reassured them, told them kindly that they're wasting their time by checking on me, and told them that I'd appreciate not being checked on again as I have experience in suicide prevention (volunteer experience for 988 type associations).

- the SN actually came three weeks after the welfare check

- Now that I had my full method in order (benzos via prescription, antiemetics via dark web, sn through DMC), I took a step back from the forum. Any access was done with a VPN on my laptop. Worth noting I did access from a cafe wifi about a week ago, but my VPN was definitely on, I remember double checking.

- today, months later, I got another welfare check and they specifically mentioned the order earlier this year. I was more pissed off than anything, and again showed them my ratio charts for making curing salts, and made it clear I didn't want them back.

To be clear, I don't believe SS leaked anything, nor do I think dmc was compromised again (however as I mentioned I haven't stayed up to date on DMC the last few months). I'm more trying to figure out what got me on the radar, or if the rcmp is making their second rounds for shits and giggles

There we go, error found. If anything is seized, treat whole source as burned... giving any way for a burned source to deliver physically... leads to wellness checks. How?
- Possibility of informancy (I hope not, tho cannot rule it out... not trying to fearmonger tho)

rcmp is making their second rounds for shits and giggles

- Possibility of law enforcement using backdoors they got from the initial seizure, or whatever other means << more likely
- Automated triggers from mail carrier << most likely

(if delivered to address... the wellness checkers may know where to go... if delivered to a drop location... they can carefully tail one back to the address)

Thanks, yeah I definitely agree that it was likely a part of the DMC fiasco. I'm just very confused as to why I got two welfare checks regarding the same purchase. I'm wondering if maybe one welfare checks stemmed from my initial order through the OG site, and the other one after they found my telegram order. Another possibility is Interpol and/or Canada Post flagged the senders address and did checks on all recipients from that address, but my biggest confusion is on the check I received tonight when I haven't been up to much that'd concern the last few months.

With a single order, I am confused too... welfare checks cost money so they don't repeat them willy-nilly... unless 2 different departments didn't know that the other has done (or will do) a wellness check. And with governmental projects having random delays... I'd expect other aspects of government to have delays and maybe repetition, eg wellness check(s).

Instead of "I volunteered at 988", some other response can be "Why on earth would I CTB?", as if surprised by the idea that CTB is a thing.... that may ease suspicion a bit more, ig.
