(Video) Pro-lifer condemns all forms of suicide

I normally ignore videos from political channels, since they're usually just not worth my time. I stumbled upon this video though and I couldn't resist posting it on here. I think there's a kind of dark irony as its philosophy is basically the direct opposite of this website's. I'm don't want to witch hunt this channel but some people are so far down the pro-life rabbit hole that it makes it hard to believe that we aren't all here just to suffer.

It's a very complicated topic. There is no simple solution to people who wants to suicide, and more often than not they do more harm than good. In all honesty, if there was 0 lifelines and no one cares about us, we would be so much better off.

My partner died 10 years ago due to Motor Neurone Disease. A genetic condition for which there is currently no cure. 50% of sufferers die within the first 18 months as their body gradually shuts down. The other 50% may live for years ...a lot like Stephen Hawking, the physicist, only perhaps less glamour. My partner had been a special forces operative (SAS)..the typical squaddie you imagine to simply fading away in just over a year. These people will have him and many like him lose their independence, dignity and hope while their family watches helplessly on. As they do, they ask themselves, will my child have too through this too? Eventually, too weak to breathe, life support is cruel really as they aren't going to get better at all. Some of you may remember Blackjack. She was in a similar situation and my exit plan had reached it's shelf life. Had there been consequences, I believe I would have stood a solid chance arguing the case for my actions in court. RIP.

Funny how he uses an "18 year old girl" as an example. Marginalizing everyone who's suicidal to seem like we're all just a bunch of angsty teenagers. Really shows who he thinks has value in this world.

Completely ignoring the middle aged man who's bankrupt/in debt, people with disabilities terminal illnesses etc.

I thank you for sharing this as its important to see every point of view to have a complete objective understanding of a topic. But gosh, what a load of garbage. Really makes me think any idiot can set up a talk-show/news channel and spew their bs to the masses and get rich.

What right does he have to judge suicidal people? He can't sit there and say "suicide is wrong" when it's impossible to understand the unique type of pain someone who is suicidal is going through. It's cruel to force someone who is in extreme pain to continue living.

Any kind of video like that is automatically not worth watching. No matter what delusional nonsense pro lifers come out with, the fact remains that nobody is obligated to continue existing and nothing is ever going to change that. It's extreme cruelty to want to force someone to suffer, and the people who are against suicide disgust me.
